From the time I was a toddler I attended Church/ Sunday School, we lived the life at home that we were taught at Church. We prayed at each meal time, we prayed when we went to bed.
We learned right from wrong, and it was something that stayed with us to this day. When we were old enough we decided if we wanted to go to a different Church than the one we were raised in.
But my faith has always been there, I feel blessed to be a Child of God, and I read the Bible, listen to Christian Music, and am thankful everyday I wake up that I have a new opportunity to be thankful and happy.
Good luck on your journey, it will not let you down!

Well, my family is catholic but we don't go to church or anything. I even think that my sister has become atheist.
I have many friends that are very religious. They talk to me a lot about God and have taken me to some of their churches (various different religions). I think that they have opened my mind.
I also had a couple of weird experiences. The first is when I prayed one night and completely opened my heart, I felt like I was shaking and like something was inside of me!! The second, is when I thought that I was going blind because I could not see for over two hours due to damage to my eyes (long story..) Anyway, I prayed so hard that after some hours my eyes were perfect again.
So, I don't belong to any specific religion and I question some things in the Bible (I think that some are metaphorical and symbolic rather than literal). However, I have a wonderful relationship with Jesus and God. That is the faith that I have received through my life experiences and talks with my friends.
If you need faith, just pray and you will grow to understand the signs that God sends you. It might not happen at once, but they will come. Good luck and may God be with you!

I was 13, I had a dream, I was to protect a child from someone that was chasing it, knowing that it's death would be the death of something amazingly profound that the world needed, I had help, but in the end I was on my own, I was running and I heard a voice tell me that ahead of me was a bridge, If I could reach the bridge I would be fine, I said "I can't, my legs won't work any longer", I was exhausted, I had been running with this baby in my arms for so long, the voice said, "but it is your calling, your birthright, you have no choice, you must save the child" and so I took the last of my energy and ran onto the bridge, as I did, it was like I ran into the sky. I could see the dark creature behind me, snarlling and reaching for the baby, I could see the stars around me, I looked down and saw the beautiful girl child that I was carrying, she was illuminous. I continued to run, but now it only propelled me through time and space, I safe, as was the child.
I awoke knowing that I was on the right path. I have been Pagan ever since. Following the God and Goddess, the Lord and Lady. It is not always an easy path. I am often chased into the night, but that baby child I am protecting is my faith, it is what drives me, and I know I can move forward. The strength is always there.
I am not sure if this is what you were looking for, but it is the memory of that dream that keeps me on my path today.

Well I was brought up Jewish and always believed in God. I converted to Christianity after meeting my wife and reading the bible. I saw that there was another part of God that I did not know. However after my first anniversary my church had some problems and I left the church not knowing what to do. Then around my second anniversary I was driving my SUV and I was struck by a car which knocked over my SUV on its side and they had to break the wind shield to get to me and take me out the moon roof. This is what I was told because I have no memory of the particulars but this opened my eyes that Jesus saved my life and it brought me back not the same congregation but back to God. I have now been a Christian for 9 yrs and have no doubts of my faith.

I was born and raised into a Catholic family, but that doesn't mean anything, cause I know a lot of people that are born and raised in faith that don't believe anymore.
So I guess I accepted the gift of faith that was given to me. Though I have had my ups and downs there has been nothing I have ever seen or heard that makes me happier than to know I am one of God's kids.

Faith just not just come from the holy scripture. Faith comes
from you, you inner self, your mind, your thoughts.
It is complete trust or confidence..loyalty..unquestioning belief.
Let's say with a baby, who's parents love him/her...that
baby has complete trust with their parents.
and lets say a Pet, like my cat.....they cannot feed themselves, etc. need loving, petting, care. I love her just
like my children......The pet does not know about the Bible,
etc.
Many people do not think as I do, I believe in God, Why?
Because there has to be somebody up there...however, when I have some questions, I ask "Rudy". Who is that?
In my own heart, I say God is busy helping people, so, for
little things, I pray and ask "Rudy". I do not know why,
however, it really works.
Honey, again, have faith in yourself......you will be happy,
forget, or try to forget what has been a trying time for you.
First you have to love yourself.....then you can do anything you want.....have faith. dream....all your dreams will come true.

Welp I was born Catholic, if you can be born anything. I was Born Again (Yes everyone laugh hysterically now) and then I was atheist after some dark hours in my life. I then because agnostic because nothing "fit".
Then I found paganism. Something just rang out in me that made me feel right. It was another year before I found my tradition. I had a friend say something to me that gave me the chills and felt so absolutely right I couldn't ignore it.
I'm now a Heathen. Yup that is the actual name. LOL

I was born Catholic and went through the motions, till I was old enough to understand.
When I got to be around 14 or 15, I started looking into other denominations, even Judaism and Buddhism. I eventually came back to the RC Church and found that my faith had now grown into the "motions" I had been going through.
Lots of things opened my eyes: personal prayer, the guidance of others, epiphanies of understanding: all in all, it kinda fell together and made my faith.
I have said before that if God had made Himself as plain to everybody as He did to me, there would be no unbelievers. I feel very lucky and blessed.

I was raised in an assembly of God church. Protestant. There was a lot of back biting, gossip, judging, hypocricy etc.plus the pastor said we should all be perfect like jesus is perfect. I became a christian at a very early age but when I became old enough to recognise these "evils" in the church (about the age of 19) I backslid and stopped going to church. I started to dabble in drinking, drugs partying etc. I knew that wasn't what God wanted for my life and felt really convicted. That went on for several years. I felt the need to go back to church but wasn't into all that fake stuff. Someone knew I wasn't happy w/ my life and that I needed to be back in church and told me about this little church that was so awesome and that I should give it a try. I went and the love I felt there was so incredible I couldn't believe it. It is a church of God - non denominational. However, since I wasn't perfect I thought that I would stop drinking and doing drugs and quit smoking then I could really go to church and feel right about it. Well, I couldn't stop drinking and doing drugs or smoking and hit the wall. I made an appt. to go talk to the pastor and asked him if I needed to be perfect in order to go to church. He said absolutely not! God loves you just where you are and wants to deliver you. I told him about the alcohol, drugs and cigarettes and said, "Watch out, the roof is gonna cave in now. LOL. After what I just told you you probably are going to tell me to get out". What he said was amazing. He said, " I love you more now than when you first came in. Jesus loves you just the way you are. You don't have to be perfect to go to church. No one is perfect. We will love you while you get it together. This is the church for you." So, I attended church while I got it together. No one gossiped about me, everyone loved me and gave me support. When I would slip they would love me even more. That pastor was the biggest influence on my life and I will love him for what he did to help me get my life back together. It has been 16 years since I started going to that church and I continue today.

I had my faith from my mother. Later in life I changed my faith several times as I searched.
Now, I have no faith at all.
I'm religiousless.
