While cleaning my basement I came across a plastic bin with bottles never opened of alcohol. I used to have a friend whose father owned a bar, when he passed away she have me a few of the old figurines full of the alcohol and she sold the rest at that time. I do not think it is legal to sell alcohol but I hate to open them an ruin their sealed labels. Also I doubt any of it is drinkable.

It is drinkable and you can sell it if you wish. In fact, if the bottles themselves are worth more than the liquor they contain eBay will even let you sell them online. If the bottles do have a value that value will be much higher with the unbroken seals. Do NOT open them if you wish to sell them.

It's probably worth a lot more sealed than opened, with the labels still intact (just like how toys are worth more in the box). I would caution you to get an expert opinion on the ceramic before you decide it is drinkable. The alcohol could have dissolved some compounds from the ceramic, which may make it taste different or even somewhat toxic.

I would say do not open the bottles. There is a good chance they are worth something and sometimes maybe more with the actual alcohol still inside them. I would say jump online and use google to find an antique appraiser. Just put antique appraiser and your zip code in the search field. There it will pull up all you need to know about the closest appraiser to you and give you directions and phone number. You can have them appraised and then decide if you want to sell them or not. I may be wrong but I think you can also have them insured justin case you keep them and something happens to them. Keep the appraisal some where safe and element proof. That can be something you can keep in the family as an heirloom. Good Luck

I would just find a nice shelf and display them. If they're pretty, they'll be a great conversation item. Your friend might even be a little surprised, if not pleased that you still have them, and are letting the world see them.

If you want to know what they're worth, either buy a book that tells about that kind of bottle, or find an antiques dealer. Either way, you'll at least know what they'd be worth to a collector.

Do nothing hastily
contact an appraiser from the yellow pages.
explain your goods
DO NOT open or empty the figurines
the first appraisers may refer you keep a dairy with numbers and names.
Good Luck
PS drinkable is not the issue... The tax seal itself is a collectors item. just like postage stamps..

Yes they are drinkable. If you are interested in selling them ask around and see if anyone you know might be interested. Research for price to ask.

They sound like jim beam. Ebay. You just need to make sure that you are selling to an adult. Also you need to not draw attention to that when you mail them. Good Luck.

First, it is still drinkable.

Second, they are a hot collector's item unopened. Check eBay for ideas
