Yes, we should legalize them because they aren't going anywhere. Mass deportation is never going to happen.

Yes this is a sensitive point for many people these days, especially in Southern California.
Yes I think it may be possible to solve the social security problem in this manner. But keep in mind that many of these illegals do not have the money to pay social security in the first place. It would be wrong to legalize them just because you want someone to pay for your retirement. Also keep in mind the the Boomers are being paid for by us. And they were a rather large group. I'm sure once the Boomers have lived their happy lives the amount of social security being paid out will lessen, and the amount of money legal citizens are being forced to pay will decrease.

Illegal aliens do not "pay for retirement". Illegal aliens do not get legal social security numbers, most of them work for cash, any illegal aliens who use ITINs (tax numbers- and only a few illegal aliens use those) do NOT pay into social security. Illegal aliens do not work for enough pay, even if they were made legal, to support social security, in fact they do not want to pay taxes or SSI at all, they just want to send most of their illegally earned incomes out of this nation to their own countries while they bleed this one dry.
Illegal aliens will never support the tax base, they have too many kids and take too many deductions, they would get back more than they ever paid in.
It is a lose-lose if illegal aliens become legal, the 1987 amnesty is proof that legalized illegals drain our economy, there are many studies which show the hundreds of billions of tax dollars which went to support illegal aliens from that amnesty, it almost broke the state of California.
Legalizing illegal aliens would break the economic back of this nation, and that is the reason why the last amnesty did not pass. Americans are not stupid or crazy - we got reamed once by legalizing those illegal alien criminals, we are not about to let it happen to us again.

Guess what? We won't have a retirement to look forward to whether we legalize illegals or not. they have already taken more from the system than they've given back and their children who are now citizens have will ensure that all the old people are dead before they have to pay a dime. Remember, the illegals and pro-illegal support groups are teaching that the old white people must die and if you will go to the nursing homes and hospitals and check first, the number of immigrants who are working in these homes, and secondly how many "sudden deaths" or "unexplained deaths" are occurring, you'll begin to see that they are carrying out their threats. In several local hospitals, the number of (and we're not limiting this to hispanics and Indians) hispanics and indians make up the majority of the employees. We have been hearing of more and more people over the age of 50 who are going into these hospitals for minor or routine procedures and surgery and they are never coming out -- they're dead. When people are smart enough to have an independent autopsy performed, they are finding that these people have been overdosed with morphine or another drug, given the wrong dosage of insulin or even more dextrose than they should have, the wrong dosages of heparin and other clotting or anti-clotting agents so the result looks like "complications of surgery" instead of the deliberate act of murder that it is. We have been researching demands for organs and we've found that some people have been killed to present the surgeons with a match organd donation for another person. We've even found that people who have registered to be an organ donor on their driver's licenses have been set up to have accidents (but they didn't die) so their organs could be harvested. People who have been checking on their relatives who have been killed or who have died from "apparent complications" from a procedure have been having their relatives exhumed only to find that their bones had been harvested, their organs had been harvested, their corneas have been harvested, etc. So, you see, we have much more to worry about in this age of "protecting the criminals" than living to collect a pension that will be non-existent for us. By the time most of us will be old enough to retire, the retirement age will have risen to the point that we'll probably be dead before we can collect anyway, not to mention the fact that since what we pay into social security is used to fund people who have never paid into the system and is used by the Government for whatever purpose it wants (by borrowing the money), it stands to reason there will be nothing left. So, save your own money and let's work hard to change the government and take away much of its power. Then we'll be able to look forward to something -- probably not retirement. Fewer people are able to retire and are working well into their 70s and 80s just so they can live.

hows about you figure out how to save up for your own retirement rather than relying on social security? Social security was a good idea when it was first instilled but was never fit to be a permanent solution, and we are now seeing why. If you have never looked at a financial calculator, it does not take a lot of money to get a million dollars, it just takes time. 40 years at a decent yield will suprise you.

Native Americans had neither the judicial infrastructure nor the enforcement mechanism to keep Europeans from their lands. The US does have these things, it just refuses to use them. Unemployment is double digit in this country. The last thing we need is more people competing for the same jobs. This goes double for the kind of uneducated, unskilled labor that is the lions share of the undocumented population. If we give them amnesty all we're doing is creating 20 million more poor Americans. It's not like giving them green cards is suddenly going to give them the job skills to earn a living wage. It will only enable them to apply for the few areas of public assistance that are currently off limits to them. The country simply can't afford it. We should be trying to woo immigrants who can fill needed positions, pay substantial taxes and participate in civil society. Everybody would do well to go back to JFKs line, ask not what the country can do for you, ask what you can do for the country. If the answer is "nothing but use more tax dollars than I contribute", you just need to stay home. We've got enough native born poverty that we can't afford to take care of.

A quick caveat, the author of that linked article someon provided. The monies paid into the system are done so through identity theft NOT through false or incorrect social security numbers! There are NO false ss numbers! That social security number belongs to someone and it aint that illegal alien. So someone's life is destroyed becuase their credit has gone to hell thanks to an illegal immigrant. Is this a benefit? Its incredulous that people have to weight the benefits and costs of illegal behavior, as if their sifting for that shining light in an abyss of darkness.
The bottom line is that most of these illegals are salivating over public government money not intended for them. They pay so little into the system, yet place an extreme burden on our system, siphoning as much from it as possible.

not a bad question although I don't care for the fact that your illegal but a good question well if the illegals are gotten rid of the jobs would be open for Americans to take and we would still receive the taxes however I am for letting the illegals go through the process of becoming legal just do it right and no free rides what would you say if you were Russian and jumped through a bunch of hoops to become American then find out that a bunch of Mexicans had it just handed to them because they broke the law wouldn't you take it as a slap in the face.

Absolutely not. Deport them and let in all the people waiting to become legal can replace them. There are plenty of people waiting because their relative is sponsoring them to come here or they have filed and are still waiting. Open the door to them and deport all the others who have cut them in line. We don't need people that take what they want regardless of people waiting. I don't evel like being cut in line at the store or movies. I would hate illegals if I were a regular immigrant who was legally here or is waiting to be legal.

Illegal aliens are working for the rich companies/rich people. They're helping the rich get richer. If the rich get richer, the poor gets poorer and the middle class fades away. Everyone in the U.S. will eventually be rich or poor, but the majority will be poor. That is the exact reason illegals leave Mexico. If we don't get rid of illegals, no one will have a retirement plan.
