orange pekoe is very good plain no milk or sugar with a teaspoon of honey that will sooth you throat.
i prefer chicken or beef bouilion because it seams to clear the sinuses better than the tea at least for me. ( i think its the salt in it which is good for a throat infection. )
also you should always drink alot of water that will keep you from becoming dehydrated.
hope you feel better soon. good luck.

Whenever I get a cold I always mix up a hot toddy. That's a strong tea with a couple shots of bourbon, some lemon juice, and a little bit of honey. I also usually have a glass of cranberry juice either before or after the toddy. I do this to keep from getting a UTI because of the infection causing the cold.

Any hot tea will be good for you, because the steam helps to clear up your head. Try herbal or green teas because you don't need any caffeine. Sugar or milk depends on your taste. I usually add sugar or honey to tea, and milk only to black tea and to some gingerbread flavored herbal tea that i had.

Best drink, though, is Nyquil ;)

I find that green tea helps a lot, especially when it is very hot, and I add sugar to it. That and some good old fashioned dayquil or such helps me get to work right away and feel somewhat ok

A hot port. Double shot of port (or whiskey)- a spoon of honey (eases sore throat)- juice of 1 lemon (vitamin C)- boiling hot water- and topped off with a slice of lemon with cloves in it. If really ill it's a great way to spice up flu drinks (lol) as long as you only have one.
Even if it doesn't cure your cold- after one- you stop caring!

i think hot tea without caffeine with lemon and a little honey is best. caffeine is bad because it dehydrates you. milk and dairy should be avoided at all costs when you have a cold because it is mucus forming. it stuffs your nose.

You should definitely try and take some sort of cold medicine then just have a couple beers the medicine and the alcohol combo will get you really trippin' balls.
