Its hard to say right now. Iran really is doing some stupid things like going ahead with their nuclear program despite it being made so internationally known. They are also supplying terrorists in the Middle East with weapons (stupidly enough with weapons that have Iranian markings and ID's on them). I do not think BUSH really yet has cause to go to war with Iran, not unless he can catch Iranian troops directly attacking US troops or Iraqi security, or if Iran decides to send more serious weapons to the terrorists. But I think the UN will have to step in soon because it just will not be good for the world to have a State that sponsors terrorism developing nuclear technologies. Even if they do no use it themselves, there is nothing stopping them from selling enriched uranium on black market. Keep in mind also that Uranium that is enriched for use in power plants cannot be used in nuclear bombs, but can still be used for things like dirty bombs.

After.

Especially if we have a Democrat for president. Our current strategy has been consistently focused on diplomatic and economic isolation of Iran.

For example - the reason we are going to declare the Iranian Quds force as a terrorist organization is because then any bank that does business with them cannot do business with the US and other nations. As a result a major player in Iranian foreign policy will not be able to move money around.

OTOH - as was demonstrated by our last Democratic president - when that party controls the White House, US policy is reactive and focused on showy but ineffective cruise-missile attacks. (In order to give the appearance of doing something about the problem without having to actually do something.)

I still hang with the crowd who believe Bush will enter Iran and become involved in a nasty war then will claim he has to extend his term..he has already passed a law that will allow him to do just that...attacking Iran will be the worst mistake the Americans will ever make because they cannot beat Iran on the ground and that is the only way Iran can be defeated...Saddam could not do it with devout troops and American and Russian support, how is America with its poor ground army ever going to succeed...he will extend his term,...institute the draft and young poor Americans will die in numbers that will make Vietnam look like a party.

I do not think the US will act against Iran militarily unless they are severely provoked.

Don't know not sure, either way I believe we do not have a choice since he is guilty of arming and supplying weaponry and manpower to murder our troop's in Iraq, Ahmadinejad is backing the USA into a corner, and I sincerely hope he is overthrown by the Iranian people asap, before he does something stupid., which I might add will be to the detriment of us all the world over. The guy's insane and needs to be stopped regardless.

Yes I do. Think about it, they helping supply the bad guys in Iraq with bombs and weapons. I think the only way we will win in Iraq is to stop Iran. We will have to invade or at least put up a border and try to stop the flow of weapons into Iraq.

He may try to widen the war under some pretext to justify his invasion of Iraq. But then where would he get the troops? As it is, I think we can all agree that he or the next president of either party will have to re-instate the draft. By the way your pix is awesome...what are you doing Saturday night? I feel like getting arrested.

M1 said it right, were trying to solve the problem backroom right now so the american people dont have to worry about it. Iran is a problem as they fund a lot fo the problems in the middle east.

When the dems get in they will do some stupid sh|t to look good to to the press but will actually make the problem worse.

I believe that depends on what Iran does before GWB is done.
Iran will do something ugly at some point, that is pretty much guaranteed.

No due to our force resources are already spread too thin. In addition they are talking about using more forces in conjunction with Mexico for the new/escalated drug war.
