Hi !!
Here you go...

Oreo Balls

Ready in: > 2 hrs
Difficulty: 2 (1=easiest :: hardest=5)
Serves/Makes: 25

Ingredients:
1 package Oreo cookies, crushed
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 package white almond bark
1 package chocolate almond bark

Directions:
Using a blender or hand held mixer, mix Oreos and cream cheese together. Roll into walnut size balls. Chill for an hour. Melt approximately 3/4 package of white almond bark. Stick a toothpick in an Oreo ball and dip it in the melted white almond bark. Allow to harden on wax paper. Takes about 15 min. While waiting, melt about 1/4 package of chocolate almond bark. When Oreo balls are no longer sticky to the touch, decorate with drizzles of chocolate and white almond bark.

Chocolate Dipped Oreo Cookies

While you can use tempered chocolate to make these treats, candy melts make the job ultra simple -- just melt and dip.

Ingredients:

chocolate and white chocolate candy melts
chocolate sandwich cookies
optional melted white chocoalte tinted* (we used red and green in the photo at right)
optional decorative spinkles and jimmies

Makes about 4 dozen spoons

- Melt candy melts in microwave, double boiler or oven set on lowest temperature. Or follow directions to melt and temper chocolate.
- If you want to completely coat the cookies, dip one side, let dry before dipping the second side.
- You can also choose to dip only half the cookie -- in which case, stand on end on waxed paper to dry.
- Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle with colored jimmies, if desired. Aternatively, you can color some of the melted white chocolate and drizzle it decoratively over the cookies.

* To tint chocolate or candy melts do not use regular food colorings (both liquid and paste) -- they will cause the candy to "seize" and get grainy. Use only special powder or gel candy colors.

I suspect that you are talking about "cookies and cream" truffle candies or a candy I sampled once at a party that consisted of crushed oreos, butter and powdered sugar rolled into balls. Yummy. Find a good, high quality dipping chocolate first and melt it over a double broiler. Mix 2 cups crushed cookies with 1/2 stick of butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Add some chopped nuts if you want. Roll your filling into balls and dip in chocolate.

I'm not sure what they are called but all you have to do to make them is take and get either some already made up chocolate or melt some down yourself and then just dip your oreos in the chocolate. Its as easy as that.

Until 1963 three percent of the white frosting used in Oreo cookies was whale blubber.
