The only way is to read the casting numbers on the back side of the engine just in front of the bellhousing.

Yes. probably 350 or larger. olds motors have different layouts than any other, heads are unique and oil fill tube are easiest ways to spot them. There should be a two digit code on the drivers side head, just below alternator that will tell you which engine it is.

It is definitely and Oldsmobile engine it can be a 260,307,350,
