If you are under 42 and healthy, you have no excuse.

And don't ask me why I am not there because I am not the hypocrit that supports it but refuses to join.

IF YOU SUPPORT THE WAR AND ARE SERVICE ELIGIBLE, THEN YOU NEED TO JOIN!

I like to think of it this way. If everyone went and enlisted right now, the military would have to shift a very large chunk over to the training side of things. There would be new buildings that would have to be built, such as barracks for the trainees to sleep in, dining facilities for them to eat at, etc. They would also have to train many new drill sergeants/drill instructors so that they could provide leadership to the new recruits. These things all take time and money. That would leave very little to support the war, and we would be forced to pull out. After a few months, the military would have a ton of new soldiers trained and nowhere to send them. Do you see the problems that may arise?

BTW- I go to Kuwait on Tuesday, then to Iraq. When do you go?

there is no drafting in this war praise the lord, the ones over there wanted to serve their country, they are not told the whole story and neither are we.

They are called upon and they go! This is what I support. The troops doing what they are told they must do to protect our country.

Imposing ones will on someone is defined as "bullying", it is no longer acceptable except in war zones of course.

You can't repair what was broken in the first place you only make a worst mess of it, you'd think Vietnam would have been a guideline, and the fact that the veterans of the Vietnamese war had to fight to be recognized as veterans should have been a huge wake up call to all American soldiers that the Apple pie has fermented and the reasons given was "we lost the war" so what they still were there, I am glad many defected one shold not be bullied to do things it is not the American way or is it.

Why is this question being asked still again? Seriously, this is the most tiresome overasked question done on here! Don't they have that thing that tells you a similar question was asked?! As before I support the war, I don't have to go cause I have the freedom not to go and it really isn't any of your buisness why I choose or choose not to go!! As has been quoted thousands of times now, you beleive in the laws but you don't become a cop, you believe in good health but don't become a doc, yadda yadda yadda. By the way, I'm over 42 and not in good health but I do all the supporting I can from the homefront. What have you done to support a soldier?!

Anyone notice,

They never make this kind of statement about the war in Afghanistan.

Nor do they make this kind of statement about finding Osama Bin Laden.

Is that, because, then they might have to join themselves?

Evidently the poster believe's that 4 million people could go down to the recruiter, tommorrow and enlist if they wanted to.

Evidently, the supporters are enlisting, you don't really think the anti war crowd is enlisting,

Do you ???

I do support the war in Iraq in its principle. I do not necessarily think they are going about it the right way. Of course I think when we take over a place we should keep it and now fix it up and give it back. If we did that then we'd be huge owning most of the world. I'd love to join the war in Iraq but I was discharged from the military and was told not to reapply. I think thier excuse was that I'm antisocial but that was before we found out I'm actually bipolar.

You can support something without being directly involved. You can support the troops by donating money or supplies. Many believe the war is justified but are more productive staying at the job they are at. Also many people, like me, believe we needed to do something about the Middle East situation but think we went about it in the wrong way.

I support the war and I am here now. This is my second tour, i have one purple heart. and will more then likely be back in a year when this tour is up shortly. Unless you are over here and see it for you self you should not criticize. especially if you are not in the military or are to scared to join.

I already served in Iraq. I am now retired and waiting for the VA to tell me just how badly disabled they think I am because of my service in Iraq.

And my son will be there next year.

BTW - what have you ever done?

I read this same type of question on here about 6 months ago. I canceled my lease on my apt, sold my car, and quit my job paying $23 an hour and went and joined the army, I just completed AIT and am in my first week of airborne school.

INTEGRITY, liberals should get some.
