I wanned to place an order on www.amazon.com, and entered my credit card number (lets assume it is 6728 6273 2837 9233 - some random number - not mine of course), my name as written on the card (Kenny) and after some time they told me that they could not process my credit card - like they were having difficulty doing so.

WTF? What did I entered wrong??? Why didnt they aks me to enter the SECURE CODE?

Did you enter the three digit security code on the back of the card?

Assuming you put everything in correctly - sometimes the credit card company will deny a request if they think its not a normal payment for your account. For example, if you suddenly take out £500 cash when all you normally do is get petrol on your card. So if its the first time youve bought that way it could be that.
it could also be that if you have used your card for several purchases already that day, it will count that as unusual activity on your account and deny a request. You need to check with them.
on the other hand sometimes requests are denied for absolutely no reason!

if you flip your card over, near your signature line, there is your credit card number reprinted in black ink. Well, right AFTER the credit card number...there is a 3 digit (vs and mc at least I know for sure) number and that SECURE code is that 3 digit number.

It is another step in preventing identity theft. You did nothing wrong...they are trying to protect your credit card in all actuality.

Why don't you try asking your credit card company as they might actually know? Or maybe you typed the number wrong. Either way this isn't really something anyone on YA can answer.

Did you give them the address associated with the the credit card account? Also one thing you you may want to consider is checking to make sure there is no fraud activity. I suggest pulling your credit report to see if there are any fraud activities going on. I have a free link to got to, to do so. Email me at creditsurgeon@gmail.com for any additional questions.

Why don't you just contact Amazon directly?
