Cats like to be hugged very briefly. There are some cats thst won't tollerate hugging at all. My cats like to lay on me up by my neck. When they have had enough petting and laying on me, they get down. They like to be petted and have their chins rubbed, and they love to be brushed. Cats can learn to fetch!!! If your cat is chubby, play with it!!! They love the cat toys with a plastic handle, some line and feathers!!! Stop when you see your cat is tired.
Good luck and may God bless you.

It depends on if the cat likes to cuddle and be around people. If your cat gets annoyed with it then stop for awhile and see what happens. Most of the time it's that you hug your cat too much and they get annoyed. Just moderate you cat hugging.

I have had cats that loved to be held and carried around. Althouhg they did put a time limit on it. The last 3 or 4 that I have had--love to be petted and hugged but do not want to be held--so I had to hug them when they laid in the bed with me. They all liked to lay in the bed with us.

Heck yeah! I think my kitty is sooo cute. I always try and hug her and she gets annoyed and bites me. I never learn though, cuz I keep on trying to hug her. I have even kissed her and she has taken a bite out of my face. She is my little terror and I LOVE HER!

My cat enjoyed being held and snuggled. She was really affectionate, but mind you, she was in her late teens, and was quite placid.
I know a few cats that can't tolerate being held. Cats are dominating animals, they like to be in control :)
