it is a new target store opening in the area and I had an on he spot interview by 2 managers, and I believe the interview went very well it was an hour an 20 min interview total, and they said they would get back to me very soon and I applied for a team member sales associates, and I received the a call from them the following day and they said can you come in Monday to speak with the human resource director, and I asked what it is in regards to and they said about your hiring but I cant discuss more than that........ I also supplied them with a copy of my resume and I was an HR assistant......... any know why they haven’t hired me but they r hiring everyone else butyl I have a third interview could it be they want to give me a better position...... thanks

I think it really might be that they want to give you a better position! If they weren't interested they wouldn't waste their time, or yours, with another interview. Good luck!

It sounds like they need someone for a different job, which is probably higher paying, and they think you fit the bill. If you were an HR Assistant, maybe they need one too. Hope all goes well.

Possibly. But, if you're young and have little experience, it could just be because they're being weary of hiring you- they want to be sure you're fit for the job. If you are in fact young and inexperienced, I wouldn't expect to be making manager any time soon.

It's probably to send you out for the drug testing and get the information for the pre-employment background check.

maybe they feel you are over qualified. my friends mother, who graduated from Yale applied for a job at target and they didn't give it to her either but they flat out told her she was "over qualified". i know it doesn't make any sense but apparently that is an excuse they are going with.
