Microsoft has some tutorials in using their Office products. You didn't indicate which version of Excel that you want to learn so below are the webpages for both Excel 2003 and 2007.

Sorry, you won't get proficiency through e-mail. Try going to your local college for a night-school course. Your local newsagent should also stock publications listing courses in your area.
