Do you mean national kangaroo day? Just funnin' with ya.
I will go buy Sissy,my red nosed pit bull, a toy and give her a big hug.
I have to tell you this. A few days ago my daughter had Sissy on the porch when the neighbouring dogs started to howl, well she has never howled before but she was trying to. She would put her head back and a little cough would come out. Then she would make sure her mouth was just right, take a deep breath, lift her nose in the air and come out with a pitiful noise. She just plopped on the porch pouting.
Her bark is ferocious but she can't hooowwwwwwwl. I'll get her 2 treats today. True

Pooch? Yes. Pouch? No. lol. Hugging my dog is a daily task anyway.

My cockatiels got hugs too. Everyday is National Pet Day at our house.

My pouch didn't want a hug, but I sure hugged all my dogs (even the cats).

When I woke up he wasn't here! Poor pooch spent the night on the back porch. I fed him, gave him cookies, hugged him and kissed him. Then I brushed out the loose fur. I love my doggie.

I hug the air and pretend it's my dog...my angel died on August 5. But I always tell my friends to hug their dogs for me...
