I have recently purchased a dvd camcorder ( previously a dv tape ) I want to download the dvd to edit with pinacle studio 10. The computer says it does not recognise the format, can anyone help? THANK YOU.

your editor is looking for AVI type files and cannot understand the MP2 video on the DVD tracks. MP2 is very different from DV file structure. Pinacle should have a fix available for this but they may require an upgrade in the software.

i recently worked with a guy who had some video from a dvd camcorder and he found that he had to finalize it before it was useable. Check your manual to see how you check this with your camcorder.

Maybe you need to capture from the camera and do not drag from the dvd.
