Do they kill the animal anyway?

They don't let the matador in until the picadors and rejoneadors have worked the bull over. By that time the bull is already bleeding to death from the wounds inflicted already which have also damaged its neck mucsles so that it can't hold its head up any more and it is dying on its feet. Yes, they kill them.

I don't see anything honorable or interesting in bull fighting.

afraid so, lived in spain for 3 years, only went to bull fight once just for the experience, horrible. it is quite hard to find bull fights now, think the spanish are starting to realise how cruel it is, mind you they are even more cruel to their horses, you know the ones that dance, underneath the bridle they have spikes, and pull on them to make them do as they told.
