Hi,
Every TV has got a sharpness control under picture menu. What I do not understand is why would anybody wants to see a unclear and fussy picture on their TV by reducing sharpness?
It just bothers me,

Sharpness controls were originally designed into color TVs to allow the user to adjust the fine detail of the picture. Basically the sharpness control compensated for distortion the video signal that was caused by the technology that was available at the time.
The technology used in these circuits has improved to the point where the sharpness control shouldn't be necessary on newer TVs.

Back in the OLD DAYS....(1980's) sharpness was used to REDUCE the NOISE in TV's that were 20 to 40 miles away from the TV transmitter....
Now with ACTIVE noise reduction circuits, the sharpness control is an OLD Dinosaur ready to hit the tarpits....Take a DIRT-Nap there old boy....
