Death is a burden that everyone faces, everyone child will someday lose their parents, siblings will pass away, it is a natural thing of this world. Dealing with death that is unexpected, such as suicide, is difficult because that person didn't live a long, full life. However, it is not a burden that can't be handled. If the family is experiencing a hard time coping with things, I would suggest a support group. There are even some on the internet that maybe you would like to try. Talking about your feelings with someone is isn't going to be easy, you might even feel a bit silly, but it will help you to remember the good times. That is the best thing to focus on, they wouldn't want you to remember them any other way.

Anyone that kills themselves is one that has joined the devil.
I am the mother of two kidnapped children. The Lord graced me with epilepsy, so when the stress gets up, the spell goes off, and the stress is gone. God's protection.
But if we take what we have been given and convince ourselves to be against it. Then we are only hurting ourselves. God is not doing it.
You have to study the Bible, Believe, and pray to God and show Him your love.
Also be careful what you pray for. For you may pray for something that God grants; but not like what it/ how it effect you, after you get it. This is not a dream world we are living in.

if he gives u something it means hes testing u, he wants to see how much u can handle every now and then. hes testing. when people kill themselves its suicidal, they take the life away that god gave them, thats why they go to hell. its a sad thing. but its not what families with suicidal relatives would calla burden...theyd call it devastaing because they never saw it coming.

The Bible doesn't say that God gives us burdens , or problems.
It does say that he will assist us in comping with situations that we could not cope with on our own strength.
Of course to get Gods help it mean that we must follow God and worshiping him the way that HE accepts.
Anything less is not good enough.
If we are doing 'our own thing' and fall into trouble, well , bad luck for us.

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary situation. We all have crosses to carry. It is through faith that gives us the strength to carry to cross and keep going.
If I told you all that I've been through these past several years, you would think I was talking about a half dozen people sharing the load. There;s only me to handle my situation. It is only through faith that I keep going forward. I thank God for my crosses. Then I remind God (you really don't have to remind God-but I do), about his servant Job. I keep hoping that I will be the next Job.
You take care and God Bless.

Wow, I never thought I'd say this, but I'm starting to sympathize with the Christians.
You people aren't Atheists..there may be one or two among you. But many of you people are hateful people who just want to prod sticks at Christians chests.
Atheists are caring compassionate people, humanists who believe that we, the people, have the power to make this life better for everybody. Most of you seem to be striving with all your might to make it worse for certain groups.
Yeah, I get it, they persecuted you, they have a faulty belief system, they look at the world funny, and they have no will of their own. I get that, but why do you feel the need to just thrust that at them at every turn?
Here's a conspiracy theory for you, maybe you're just closet-Christians subconsciously trying to make Atheism look bad, and more in tune with the common Christian perception of it?
Seriously, people, raving at the wind but for something minor and slightly vexing like a religious person's perceived spiritual superiority is an idiotic way to approach it.
By illustrating the integrity, honor, and values of the atheist community you do a better job of throwing away their one and only card against us, "Atheists have no morals." But you do the opposite. You try to display a lack of couth.. I don't get it. Why? Why do you want to damage our reputation?

Pat answers here. That quip is obviously not true and it's typical that Christians will say that if you couldn't stand the burden, then that was Satan. Was it your God piling the burden on?

My mother was a suicide, it wasn't God who took her life, it is the problem of depression, it is an illness, sometimes treatable, sometimes the suicide victim can find no other way to escape the pain. It is NOTHING you did wrong, so don't kick yourself. It is the nature of the illness. Sometimes the patient doesn't know it is depression, they are just overwhelmed with problems in life.

It means, No matter what burdens we impose upon ourselves, God is never absent from the equation. To be burdened without God seems to be more that we can handle.
