I just had my kitten neutered, well first of all he's caused my oldest cat to go into hiding... and he also won't leave me alone!!! He's driving my nuts!!! He meows all the time, and I've never had a whiner when it came to a cat. And he wants me to hold him all the time. Which I can't, cause then I never have time for the other cat. And when I am holding the other one and the kitten jumps in my lap, then the other one leaves, and I can't stand that cause Galaxy is my baby and he has been for the past 7 years... should I find my kitten a good home? Or will he eventually get the picture as long as I keep ignoring him??

He only does it when he wants to be held. He's always under my feet, and I'm constantly having to push him out of the way so I don't step on him. And he was about 8 or 9 weeks when took from his mother... but he still wants to need.

Thanks to everyone for the help, except that last one... you don't seem to "get" the situation. He has calmed down, I think it was just his drugs wearing off... now he's obsessed w/ TV... he meowed today until I turned it on for him...

How old is the kitten? Sometimes over-affection can be an indication of being taken from the mother too soon. They should be with the mother until AT LEAST 6 weeks. Normally, kittens are neutered at about 8-10 weeks at rescues, and 6 months for any other vet.
Did he meow before he was neutered? the only reason I can think of for meowing after neutering is pain, but normally males have very few complications.
If you have any other details it could help.
*EDIT* Alright, well, that answers all my questions. It sounds kind of like he's just a needy cat. I have a few of those! I don't think that it has anything to do with having him neutered. Since he's not being aggressive or anything, there's not much you can do.
Cats tend to not "get the picture" and can be very persistent. You can try disuading him with a can filled with coins, or a short spray of water. I personally don't mind when they're very loving, but if that is not the right personality for you, and is harming the pysche of your older cat, perhaps give it time, and if it doesn't work out, maybe a new home would be best.

Does he want to go outside? Ours is about 4 months and does this when he wants to go outdoors with the other cats (he's not allowed out yet as he's not neutered). Anyway, ignoring ours doesn't work as he just increases the volume so I try and leave the room, then distract him with toys or bribe him with some treats to be quiet. Whatever you do, don't make it so that you respond to the meowing, as he'll learn it works to get what he wants! I think hes being a rebellious teenager, it'll probably settle down soon.

You have a cat who's accepted that you don't give much 'together time' and you have a kitten who's really really feeling the need for reassurance especially after something painful (it's surgery, after all). He has no one else to comfort him, so if you're not going to step up to the plate and be his companion, he'd be better off in a new home where he's not treated like an annoying stuffed toy.
If you don't want him to be part of your life, which he's desperately trying to be part of, then you don't need a second cat in your home. Please find him another home where they have the time and attention to give him, that he needs.

Maybe hes just that way. Maybe he just meows a lot. Cats meow if a door is closed or if he justs wants more food/water. Spray water on him every time he meows. I think he might get the idea after a while.

i think he will get the hint. dont hold him all the time no matter how much he crys. hes still a baby and wants extra attnetion. if you give it to him now later he'll expcet the same attention. and as for the older cat,. it will take some time, the older cat is probably not used to having a companion and sharing the attention. eventually they will get used to each other and learn to play with each other.
