How to clean my DVD player?

Hi guys i have an hp as130n with lightscribe enabled and every time i try to burn a dvd it says that the dvd player is dirty so how do i clean it?

It's a cd/dvd that you insert into the player that contains a small brush on it. The brush sweeps clean the lens of the DVD player as it spins when it is inserted into the player.

if that doesn't work it could be that the LED is getting weak.
