Do you honestly care what a bunch of idiots say. What you need to understand is fundamentalists are a bunch of useless morons who dont know anything about the bible, and claim they do cause they take it literally. Really, they are the worst way to go religiously. Any type of fundamentalism, Christian, Islam, Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, Pagan, Eastern, is just some invention of a bunch of arrogant "Holier than thou's" who have never even took a class on the bible, and believe that a book made thousands of years ago, written with hidden messages is a law book. Fundamentalist see their holy text as a rulebook, which cannot be done, since holy books contain all kinds of writing styles, such as stories, allegories, parables, poems, songs, historical accounts, you name it. So along comes the fundamentalist, with no education on anything, along with no common sense or guidance, go an make interpretations claiming they are right, when in fact they just completely dumbed down religion so some uneducated yokels and inner city trash could understand. Here are a list of things fundamentalist do 1. They preach in a "Fire and brimstone" style 2. They put too much effort fighting evolution theories claiming the world was created in six days 3. They believe that their little group is the only saved group, just cause they believe it exactly the way their group does, and thats sufficient enough. So they can sin and be a dirtbag all they want cause their saved, and all the other good people go to hell 4. Terrorism is acceptable in Jesus name 5. They justify all filthy actions. 6. They talk loud, and use too many syllables, to make themselves sound smart. 7. They spam YA like CJ, formerly known as Chris. But as a side note, mainline protestant churches fit in well too, cause they accept evolution. So to answer your question, they feel their doctrine is superior to all others. But their the only ones in their little shell not accepting evolution, and would rather fight it instead of accept that their whole approach is a disgrace. So fundamentalism should be stopped if we want hatred and dictatorship.

Pangel you're being disturbed by someone that has no clue about the intention of Christ, the love of God, the nature of the universe, nor the most basic of Christian decency. This spirit is known, and confuses the religious to make them think they are holy while they are in truth possessed.
Do not concern yourself with cult members claiming to have insight. The cult is based on the worship of a book, without understanding of why the book was inspired in the first place. They think the book is light when in truth the book is a pale shadow of an feeble attempt to describe a truth. Truth can only be known by experience. The spirit inhabiting this person has allowed him no experience other than reading the book, and because he thinks its holy he fails to find life.
Do not let the dead in spirit disturb you. They are only allowed to stay on earth as a stumbling block and temptation to hatred for those that love God. Ignore them or instruct them but don't hate them for they have no discernment. They are to be pitied. I say they because there are so many of them. All prepared to spew hatred at all that communicate the true love of Christ.
Do not be troubled. You are not alone.

I tried to find another passage, that is much easier to comprehend. Jesus was talking and said something of this nature, I come not to make peace but war(now don't take this verbatim because I can't find the passage) It Will be Father against son, mother against daughter and then it goes on and on............I can find it it Will just take me a bit to find it. But I did find in, Luke 19:26 - 27 and
John 8: 42 - 51 But the one I was referring to up top is much more concise and to the point.
I don't think you twisted anything, there are scriptures telling us about Jesus' love for us this is very true. But, there are also scriptures that tell us that if we don't live right we will suffer the wrath of God on Judgement Day.
Peace and Love to All!! Have a Great Day!!

Pangel,
My best guess is that when some people hear something it doesn't mean that is what was said.
It is what they heard, through their mental picture/filter of the person talking.
An icon of a cross usually means religious person, and people prepare to hear religious stuff. Many would be confused to hear anti-religious words from an icon of a cross.
People place everyone in categories - you just don't fit in the one he placed you in.
Ha, you are not demonizing yourself to anyone but CJ, who places people in boxes and slots and categories because that's what he was told to do.
People that know you, Pangel, read nothing to change how they feel about you.
Perhaps someday CJ will stop and listen to people from his heart and not his religious training, and hear what people are actually saying.

well you see you both are right but you are proving different points. CJ is proving that god is the only way to heaven and that any religion other than Christianity/Christ believing monotheists will then lead to dieing and going to hell. and you are proving that god is tolerant of all people and he is loving of others no matter what but all CJ was trying to prove was that god is intolerant of other religions not the followers of the religion.
the only place you are going wrong is that you two continue to argue but you are arguing for different things it is as if a person was arguing about 'that a cow is black and white' while someone else disagrees and says 'pigs are black and white too' they are both right and when they argue neither is going to accept the other's answer because it wont answer their what they are arguing for.
hows that?

I've noticed that CJ seems to like to use his own faith as a basis for telling everybody else that they're going to Hell. This is not a new behavior; in Biblical times, the Pharisees liked to use their supposed piety as grounds to sneer down their noses at everyone else and point out their deficiencies. Please don't think we all behave so poorly; I'm frankly ashamed of "Christians" who do this.
I think it is worth noting that Christ refused to associate with people who used their faith as an excuse to condemn, and their behavior made him very angry. In the final analysis, it's not for any of us to judge the means by which other people interact with God. That is for God, Himself, to do. We reap what we sow; those who show compassion and love for others will be treated with compassion and love. Those who condemn others and hate them will suffer hatred and condemnation. I don't know you very well, but I can say this much - you are a far better example of Christian behavior than many "Christians" I've encountered on these boards.

Ummmm.... Too right. It's just a shame we have these people on here. It's not wrong, it's good to have an opposite opinion, but this guy (and many like him) obviously can't see that he demonised HIMSELF with that comment.
If twisting verses (which you didn't do) is a crime, then he's guilty as charged.
And every debate is good, as long as it is without anger. He certainly seemed quite irate to me.
Ummmm... You said NOTHING wrong, so don't be hard on yourself. Also HE said nothing wrong, other than insulting you.
Surely he has no place on the Answers system if he cannot accept that other people have opinions too. His might well be as valid as yours, but it is no MORE valid, and that's where he went wrong.
When you stood your ground, he had to defend himself with petty insults, which in my view is pathetic.
((((Pangel))))
I'm in your corner on this one, like a lot of people are.

Where you are going wrong is not that CJ is wrong but you are quoting other bits of the bible to prove him wrong. The lessons in the bible should not be taken out of context and quoting JC saying something to a group of people is not like quoting the law. It is all rather relative. The message is a big message rather than bits of speech here and there. But some fundamentals like when he says that only through him one can find God is well established and cannot be rubbed out by other sayings. It has been tested.

Hi Sweetie.
the first mistake was when CJ said that Jesus was intolerant, of other beliefs.
Jesus was the most tolerant person I can imagine. a good example of this is when Jesus meet the Samaritan woman at the well, and she tried to start a religious debate with him, while He refused to debate religion with Her, He turn it into a discussion of her personal life.
while you both quoted scriptures, that had prevalence, when your scriptures, that were not taken out of context, they must have caused his spirit to come under conviction, for His left the spiritual debate and turned it to a personal one. and showed his intolerance of your beliefs.
we all receive different revelations into the scriptures, and your revelations are just as valid as mine or his.
I only wish that all Christians could receive the revelation into the scriptures of love that you have.
but i will take a scripture out of context at this point, and you can complete it if you wish.
Jesus said "let not your heart be troubled"
