Why is it about guys that's afraid or don't like to show affections? Any help would be greatly appreicated!

This is a 33 yrs old guy and I'm well, almost 28yrs. old. Are guys still afraid to show affections at this age? Why?

Most of us grow out of that "hide our feelings" crap by then. He may not want to though.

I don't think that many guys are afraid to show affection its just that we don't really feel like we need too. I know that when im with my girlfriend, i may have strong feelings of happiness, love whatever, but a lot of times we just don't have the need to express it. until guys start dating we have mainly guy friends and even after we start dating, and in those friendships things don't really have to be said ever, so we kind of carry it on throughout life. but just because a guy doesn't express affections doesn't mean he is scared or he doesn't like you.

Guys are tought early to be a man. Hide your feelings. Keep it to themselves. It's very hard to do otherwise. Even when a guy is older and he wants to open up to someone, they get punished for it.
