Jesus was tempted, because He was also human, and all humans are tempted because of their flesh.

Matthew 4:1-11

The Temptation of Jesus

god gave his only begotten son....

Jesus live for about thirty three years as a human and WAS subject to the temptations. If he had not been then his experience as a god among us would not have served as an example to fallable humans.

we can attain what Jesus wanted us to even as humans. he made sure of that by dying for the sins of us all. his temptation as I have always understood it was to "HAVE THIS CUP TAKEN FROM HIM"

In other words he asked his father not to make him the sacrifice, if there were any other way. As a man he struggled with that question, in the garden of gethsemane but he overcame it and gave his life so that we would be saved from our own sins.

He was tempted by every temptation that could possibly exist in the human mind and rejected them all. Nothing material can last so why do we become so attached to things that are as perishable as our own bodies. He even rejected the body, which brought Him the Realization of the "Life" that He was, that we all are. That is the only thing that will last. Life is eternal. This must be lived in it's fullness, not continually colored by the thoughts of human mind. He overcame this all and that "IS" His good news.

Let me get something right straight now about Muslims, we should not believe them or what they say, period. It is a pseudo religion. The fellow who will be burning btw was wrong. Jesus is GOD! Jesus says to the evil one after he has spent time in the desert do not tempt the Lord thy God. So he was not ever tempted either. The evil one btw the way also believes in God. Praise be to my King!!! Jesus

God can not be tempted. This means he will not be tempted by temptation, not that some one else could not try to tempt him. Jesus was tempted (Satan attempted to divert Christ's mission) but Christ was not tempted to turn the rock into bread (Man can not live by bread alone) or to jump to be saved by the angels (tempt not the Lord thy God) ot to bow down to Satan for all the riches of the world (serve only the Lord God).Don't be tricked by the infidel. Satan will tell you a thousand truths to get you to accept one lie.

I watched the video and I don't agree with how he presented his argument. He's twisting the meaning. It's all sematics. There is a difference between tempting and being tempted and between being tempted and to be tempted. Think about it.

God cannot be tempted by evil. What does that mean? Does that mean Satan cannot come before God and hold and "apple" in front of his nose? Satan can try, but it won't have any affect. Satan can try to tempt, but God will not be tempted. Meaning he won't have the desire to go after what is evil.

Jesus was lead out to the wilderness after 40 days of fasting to be tempted, to have that "apple" dangled in front of him. So Satan did. 3 time he dangled 3 different, very tempting "apples". Was he tempted? No. Satan tried to tempt him, but he failed to do so. Jesus wasn't interested. How do I know? Jesus turned him flat down with scripture. After the third time (after trying to manipulate scripture to tempt Jesus) Satan fled frustrated, waiting for another opportunity to strike.

So yes, Jesus was lead out to be tempted, but he was not. He didn't waver and resist. He didn't simply avoid sinning. He was NOT tempted.

Example: Say you have a policy not to drink. You're against it. I don't like that. So, I have a mutual friend bring you out to a bar to hang out...so you can be tempted to drink. I'm there waiting for you. I give you reason after reason why you should give it a try. But you simply don't have any interest in drinking and you don't really give a crap about my arguments. Are you tempted to drink simply because you were brought to a bar to be tempted? No. Not tempted. Annoyed, irritated,*&^%$ maybe, but not tempted.

It's all "allegory" in both "covenants": Galatians 4.
Grace neither tempts(laws) nor can be tempted(lawed).
Grace neither makes nor takes sides to have side wars.
Thereby Grace has no side effects, such as a dead end.
Grace(God) can't lie(law) nor die(law). Law Law does both.

Jesus is not God, but Son of God on high in plural heavens.
Christ is not God, but Son of God higher than the heavens.
So there are two high/higher Gods & two Sons to sort out.
The God on high, called Yaweh, Allah, Jehovah, is the Law.
The God in heaven, higher than law law heavens, is Grace.
Jesus is standing Right of God on high in the L/R heavens.
Christ is seated Right of higher God, "above" such law law.
Eternal life & peace with God are "through Jesus-->Christ".
To wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself.
Pst: that God was not in Jesus nor Mohammed alienating ppl.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

anyway, Jesus was God in human form. He suffered like humans, felt like humans, and was tempted like humans.
