Nella Fantasia by Russell Watson on his Ultimate Album. It's all about living in a fantasy world where everything is perfect. It's a beautiful piece of music.

I love "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" but you may think it's too formal for a civil ceremony. This website has alot of ideas and clips so you can hear each one. Congratulations! :)

In a registry Office you can't have any religious music. I had Whiter Shade of Pale but it had to be the instrumental version as they would not allow the words. We were given a list of music that they allow.

I echo a couple of answerers here. Pick something that means something to the both of you or choose something traditional. The Wedding March or Canon in D.

A friend of mine went for Go West by Pet Shop Boys, I thought that was a bit unusual... but hey whatever you like, it's your ceremony :)

Pachalbel's Canon in D is a really nice song. There's a more modern version of it called Lullaby by Bond that sounds beautiful.

I like the traditional songs:
"Canon in D" by Pachabel
"Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" by Bach
These are played all the time and weddings! You can get them on CD's and have someone play it.
