1- Islam doesn't have enough power to be really scared of. They are going to cause a heck of a war, but it will be over quickly.
2- Yes I do think that religion teaches bad things. Especially the Abrahamic ones.
3- Well the radical part says it teaches killing non-Muslims. They are very devout Muslims, so I don't see any reason to doubt them. If you think they are wrong, take it up with them.

No, I am not afraid of Muslims. But I feel sure that Muslims are afraid of Muslims. You claim that killing isn't taught by Muslims, How about that young idiot mullah Oman, or thatever his name is. He has his own private army. He teaches them to kill off the opposition so that he'll rise to the top as absolute dictator. It doesn't matter to him how many are killed in the mean time.
Doesn't the Koran instruct Muslims to go out and convert non-Muslims , if they refuse to convert, kill them ? I don't read the Koran, but I'm sure you do.

No i'm not afraid of muslims.
But the religion does teach muslims to kill non-muslims.
I suggest you go and read the Qu'ran before saying something like that.
2:244 Fight in the way of Allah
4:76 Those who believe do battle for the cause of Allah; and those who disbelieve do battle for the cause of idols. So fight the minions of the devil.
9:5 Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
You were saying?

I struggle every day not to be a religio-phobic, simply because I have seen religion create an "us v. them" mentality stemming from self-righteousness spawned from belief. However, I know that in spite of being taught that they have greater truth than anyone else, most people are simply trying to live their lives in as much peace as possible.
By the way, it's 2.5 BILLION Muslims. And no, there are not that many who are terrorists. But the religion's current manifestations have the capacity to incorporate terrorism into it much easier than the current manifestations of most other religions.

I have no fear of Muslims. I've seen examples of evil Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindus, and Buddhists in history and personally. And I've know good people from those faiths, as well.

No. I regard Islam with a flare of the nose, with disgust and contempt, as I am with all of Satan's works. It preaches against the Most High God, and I serve him.
Do not believe that those who are vocal against Islam are Islamiphobic, it would be your first mistake in trying to understand the issue.

Islam is not an evil religion. It doesn't teach Muslims to kill non-Muslims. These atrocities that have taken place in recent times are due to terrible misunderstanding and misinterpretation on Qur'anic verses. Some individuals justify these acts by twisting the verses of the Qur'an to meet their own desires.
WHAT DOES ISLAM SAY ABOUT TERRORISM?
Islam, a religion of mercy, does not permit terrorism. In the Qur'an Allah has said:
"Allah does not forbid you from showing kindness and
dealing justly with those who have not fought you
about religion and have not driven
you out of your homes.
Allah loves the just dealers"
(Qur'an 60:8)
The Prophet Muhammad (saas) used to prohibit soldiers from killing women and children(*), and he would advise them: ..."Do not betray, do not be excessive, do not kill a newborn child."(**)
(*) Narrated in Sahih Muslim #1744, and Sahih Al-Bukhari #3015
(**) Narrated in Sahih Muslim #1731, and Al Tirmidhi #1408
And he also said: "Whoever has killed a person having a treaty with Muslims shall not smell the fragrance of Paradise, though its fragrance is found for a span of forty years"(***)
Also the Prophet (saas) has forbidden punishment with fire(****). He once listed murder as the second major sin(*****) and he even warned that on the Day or Judgement "The first cases to be adjudicated between people on the Day of Judgement will be those of bloodshed"(~)
Muslims are even encouraged to be kind to animals and are forbidden to hurt them. Once the Prophet Muhammad (saas) said: "A woman was punished because she imprisoned a cat until it died. On account of this, she was doomed to Hell. While she imprisoned it, she did not give the cat food or drink, nor did she free it to eat insects of the earth" (~~)
He also said that a man gave a very thirsty dog a drink, so Allah forgave his sins for this action. The Prophet (saas) was asked: 'Messenger of Allah are we rewarded for kindness towards animals?' He said: "There is a reward for kindness to every living animal or human"(~~~)
Additionally, while taking the life of an animal for food, Muslims are commanded to do so in a manner that cause the least amount of fright and suffering possible. Prophet Muhammad (saas) said: "When you slaughter an animal, do so in the best way. One should sharpen his knife to reduce the suffering of the animal"(~~~~)
(***) Narrated in Sahih Al-Bukhari #3166 and Ibn Majah #2686
(****) Narrated in Abu-Dawood #2675
(*****) Narrated in Sahih Al-Bukhari #6871 and Sahih Muslim #88
(~) Narrated in Sahih Muslim #1678 and Sahih Al-Bukhari #6533
(~~) Narrated in Sahih Muslim #2422 and Sahih Al-Bukhari #2365
(~~~) Narrated in Sahih Muslim #2244 and Sahih Al-Bukhari #2466
(~~~~) Narrated in Sahih Muslim #1955 and Al-Tirmidhi #1409
In light of these and other Islamic texts, the act of inciting terror in the hearts of defenseless civilians, the wholesale destruction of buildings and property, the bombing and maiming of innocent men, women and children are all forbidden and detestable acts according to Islam. Muslims follow a religion of peace, mercy and forgiveness, and the vast majority have nothing to do with the violent events some associated with Muslims. If an individual Muslim were to commit an act of terrorism, he alone should be and would be accountable for his violation of the laws of Islam.

Judge a religion on his teachings not on what an opposer of that religion tells you. Does islam really teaches to kill?

I ask you which religion on the face of the earth tells you to escort your enemy to the place of security if he seeketh thy asylum? tell me.

a little...just on planes if they are solitary young men. But I don't like planes anyhow and the heightned stress of the situation makes me obsess about plunging to a fiery death. I'm just as afraid of someone who's left their mobile phone on during the flight.
And I was just as afraid of irish people during the IRA terrorism, though it is the passion behind the muslim extreemist that scares me, the IRA would warn us before detonating a bomb, and they had a sense of self preservation too. the suicide bombers are so scary as they have nothing to lose and hate us so much, even a mother and baby (like on the tube bomings in london) where he stood as close to a pram as possible.
