If all the global warming kooks are right, that means well all be dead in a few hundred years and the earth will be rid of us for good. Kinda like a flea bath for a dog. Either way, in a million years humans will probobly be gone and the earth will keep on turning.

"Good" and "bad" are artificial constructs that apply only to man. The Earth has survived with all kinds of temperature and atmospheric extremes that make even the most outlandish scenarios of global warming look like an afternoon at the park. It has endured the vast majority of its existence without the presence of man. To Earth, then, it has all been "good".

Even some Alarmists have to be reminded that they are misquoting the scientific data by claiming that it is warmer now than it has ever been, and to stick to the line that it has warmed faster than it has in the last few thousand years (even though the warming that they say is made by man is not much different than the warming from the warming from 1910 to 1940.)

Well if global warming is correct which I don't know if I believe it 100%, might be good depending on where you live. If you live in siberia or canada it might be a good thing. Funny thing I heard was that recently south texas has not been as hot but we have had our rainest season thus far with over 50 inches for an area that does not normally get more than 35 in a year. Some say that with global change the South Texas region would become more like south east asia with the monsoon season. It kind of stinks. I will watch it for a few years and if does not go back to normal I will be convinces that it is global warming.

The earth will get warmer, and vine yards will spring up all over the south downs in England, producing a nice cheeky red wine, I hope. Many subscribers have written before with regard to effects, but also remember ,over time nature will bring in the status quo, and cause global cooling.

There is considerable uncertainty about what will happen if we continue to burn fossil fuels. The worst scenarios are quite bad, but even so they seem unlikely to kill all humans. The very worst is that the entire infrared spectrum becomes opaque due to positive feedback of all greenhouse gasses, resulting in an average worldwide temperature increase of 30 C. That would make the arctic regions tropical and the tropical regions excessively hot for most species living today. Such a situation would last for a few thousand years, perhaps a few tens of thousands of years, and then negative greenhouse feedback would kick in and bring us back to the "normal" alteration of ice age and warm period.

The earth doesn't care what's on it or what the temperature is like. The living beings on the earth are what will care. I'm sure the wild animals will be happier without us if they themselves can survive higher temperatures. The earth though, is a mass of rock and minerals and is neither sentient nor living. Plants have more feelings than the earth.

Maybe. But I deny that humans will be gone in a few hundred years. Maybe in a million years, but not in a few hundred. And they will be gone in a million years because they evolve into another species, artificially, voluntarily, by advanced genetic manipulation to prevent inherited diseases and things like that.

It is, and it's good for life. Read how many new species were discovered in the last few years. There have been more discoveries of new species now than at any time in the past.

Clearly warmth is good for evolution.
