I'm looking for a job and UPS is hiring in my area. The ad says that applicants must comply with UPS appearance guidelines. I'm a male with long hair, does anyone know if I will be required to cut my hair for this job?

What the others have suggested is a great idea. You must consider the govern laws and the court order involve. What I would do if I were you, persuade the mother to send only letters to her daughter, and you might want to give her a P.O. Box address. This way you can read the letters and have the daughter to write back when she want to. Don't use the computer, because it sounds like her mother is not put together right! If her mother agrees regarding the writing letter, she must promise not to call. If this don't work out, change the phone number and put a restraining order on her. What ever happens you and your husband must be careful of her. Talk to your step-daughter, make sure she understands she's not to have any contact with her mother. Educate her on what to do if she come to the school or she's walking home from somewhere and she sees her mother. Make she knows how to call 911. Everyone don't go according the rules and you know that. The primary goal is for you to educate your daughter and you and your husband to use ever precaution at all times. well my dad drives for UPS freight and a very good friend has long hair and he dosent have to cut it, so u must not have to. Unless u wanna work for UPS ground then im not so sure

All UPS drivers I have seen look pretty clean cut.

cut it.
also no tatoos that will show on shrot sleeve shirts and if you wear short pants.
they pay is good so cut the hair real fast.
