9 weeks of basic training. What is he doing for his job? I will be able to tell you how long training is, but I need to know what job he signed up for. Last day of basic training or the day before he graduates, you will be able to visit him for a family day.
A typical day in Basic Training generally follows this schedule:[2]
5:00AM Wake-up Wake up and perform personal morning tasks. For males, shaving is mandatory every morning.
5:30AM Fall-in Line up in company area, perform morning physical training (calisthenics and running).
6:30AM Breakfast
8:30AM Training Begin the day's scheduled training exercises.
12:00PM Lunch
1:00PM Training Continue the day's scheduled training exercises.
5:00PM Dinner
6:00PM Drill sergeant time Time for drill sergeants to talk to the recruits about any subject they may think requires attention. Mail call is also performed during this time.
8:30PM Personal time Time for recruits to engage in personal activities, such as writing letters, doing laundry, showering, or simply relaxing. Recruits may also catch up on platoon duties during this time, such as barracks cleaning or boot shining.
9:30PM Lights-out

My son is in army boot camp and is starting his last 3 weeks.
Boot camp is 9 weeks. It my be a few days longer if he get there a day or two early. You can not see him when he is in boot camp he can call you and wright you but you can not call him. When he is out the training time is up to the job he will be doing . For my son it will be 12 weeks. Each place he will be is in different states. The good new is you May see him in this part of his training. But it could be that his training may not let you see him of he well be to far away.

Knowing his Mos would help on ait time however Basic Training or boot is 8 weeks . Ait is usually a course time lined for how much content there is to learn.
As for seeing him during basic if your close and he gets a chance for a pass late in training then maybe however if not then No. Ait on the other hand they do get some day passes and other time off evenings usually but they are studying, Always a chance here but for the most part you might see him between boot and ait if he takes time in between then between ait and perm party. Unless they have changed things there will be a pay phone in the barracks at AIT and he can send you the number. He can receive phone calls on this phone if someone hears it ring and answers it but that is usually in the evening after about 5:00 pm he could tell you the best times. He can also call out at the pay phone as long as no one else is using it.

Need to remember that in the army if a person isn't deployed, their training. While they are in basic they are restricted meaning that they don't get to go anywhere or see anyone, but normally they will get phone time and of course time to write. When in school it is normal to get a class A pass, meaning that they can leave the base/post when off duty.
When they get to their permanent duty station then of course they have a normal work week for the most part (but there will be exceptions from time to time)

Any preliminary military settlement contains an 8 3 hundred and sixty 5 days dedication chop up between energetic and reserve accountability. in case you elect to hitch a ramp team, I advise chatting with the people who hire the ramp team to locate the standards they have for brand spanking new workers. whether USAF boot camp is seen long and complex will rely on the point of exact and psychological coaching on the time of stepping into the provider. From the type you built the sentences interior the question, it in all fairness obtrusive you're incredibly vivid. i'm hoping you're taking a school prep curriculum and making plans to circulate to varsity. in case you elect to be interior the air rigidity, take part in civil air patrol or afjrotc, and in college afrotc. in this u . s . a ., the possibilities obtainable for a vivid toddler are virtually without sure; frequently he's blind to the wealth of possibilities or only does not have get entry to to great profession suggestion. Or thinks that one undesirable semester in ninth grade precludes college and bases his destiny in this, while colleges basically evaluate grades from tenth and eleventh while making admissions judgements. If he is going to a JC, then, while shifting to a school, intense college grades do no longer rely in any respect, basically JC grades are seen for admissions applications. stable success!

Basic training you will not be able to see him at all. If he is OSUT( Basic and AIT in one) you will not be able to see him. How long training is depends on what MOS he has.
otherwise, there will be limitations. for the most part he cannot leave the base at first. after a certain time, he may get permission to leave base , but will have to be back on base every night. After that he may get Weekends free, but he will not be able to go very far.

Usually you can only see him at graduation. There is a family day you can go to the day prior to graduation. After that he will go to AIT. He is still considered to be a trainee at AIT.
If he went to one station training where his AIT and Basic Training are combined, then graduation day and family day.
Once he finishes AIT, his life becomes a normal military life unless he has Airborne School or another skill school.

basic training is about 9 weeks (since time spent in reception isn't counted towards basic.)
you can't see him while he's in basic. you can see him, at graduation, during the stated times, which will normally be the afternoon prior to graduation (he has to remain in uniform, he can't drive, can't drink, and has to remain on or near the post, and has a strict curfew, as well). on graduation day, you will probably be able to spend a LITTLE time with him, but, he'll be packing and preparing to transfer to his next post, for ait. if he remains on the same post for ait, you might be able to spend a little more time with him, but, that's at his commanding officer's discretion.
ait is a whole 'nother story. he MIGHT have some passes, generally not for a whole weekend (though, some have gotten them, generally in the ait's which are more than 6 months), he might be able to see you, when he has a pass. you can't call him, either in basic or ait, and he can't have a cell phone in either basic or ait.

Basic is 8 or 9 weeks, AIT will be another 4 Months. You cannot see him in Basic but it is more likely to see him in AIT.
They have passes and can go off post in AIT.
