i'm 16 and entering my 2nd year high school,i've never had to repeat a grade.people think i'm stupid because i have long golden blonde hair.i mean just because i don't know how to work a dvd player, doesn't mean i'm dumb!!

I can't believe some people still think that blondes are dumb. You don't have to prove you're smart.

Who do you think you have to prove it to? If you're a good worker, have a pleasing personality and good character traits, and get good marks in school (a B average or better), then nobody will really think you are stupid. You can learn how to work a DVD player if you take the time to do so. (There are lots of "smart" people who are clueless when it comes to electronic devices.) Different people have different kinds of talents and abilities, regardless of their perceived smartness level. Don't sweat it, just be yourself. The right people will recognize your true level of intelligence.

Not having to repeat a grade is not enough. If you want to prove that you are smart, you have to get straight As or Bs. Or take an IQ test. But even if your results are not great, this has nothing to do with your hair. More probably to the importance you yourself attribute to your hair by asking this question.

it's just a really dumb stereotype. i mean if a blonde person just has a really dumb moment, people blow it out of proportion, but if it's anyone else, it really doesn't matter. you're not gonna get anywhere by trying to convince people you're smart. i would say just ignore the stereotype and act like it doesn't bother you. people will then realize it for themselves and stop saying that. it may take some time tho.

There all stupid for saying that. You are not dumb at all, there just trying to get to your head! You have no reason to prove that your smart. Alot of people have trouble using todays technology. So just ignore them, they'll give up after they realize there taunts aren't hurting you.

i completely agree with you. i am also a blonde and i am going into the 8th grade and am going to be taking geometry. Last year in seveth grade i took algebra 1 and passed with a 99.7 average. oh and dont listen to anyone who says blondes are dumb because it is not true!!

blondes are smart.. i am one, and so are all three of my daughters, the older two both had 4.0 last yr.. the third is only two, but she has already gone past other kids her age... ok me mommy bragging there..
and i remember in school people said blondes were dumb, until my papers came back with all a's and theirs did not..
ha.

Haha I agree. I have medium length light blonde hair and am on the high honor roll for my school, meaning my GPA is at least a 3.7.

That's just plain ignorance if someone believes a person's hair color determines their intelligence in any way.
Those people contribute to the stereotypes in this world.
I believe you shouldn't at all have to prove your smart.
Let them believe what they want to believe.
If you know your smart then that's all that really matters, doesn't it? :)

sure they aren't.. no jk, i know a lot of blonds that r smart. always concentrate on ur school work. never say stupid or idiotic things, don't let people look down on you, don't act crazy or cuss loudly, because i've seen people like that and they look really stupid
