and the same people that persecuted minor religions and the religions of countless native peoples for centuries after it's creation? and the same people that once had more power in europe than it's monarchies, and *abused* said power? the same people that blindly follow a book that was mistranslated and later edited by upper eschelon members of the group to secure more power, by deciding what did, and did not belong in the book? the same people that *still* follow a corrupt institution that mascarades as a 'charitable, good' place but politically opposes scientific advances that can *save lives*? the same institution that, again, mascarades as good, while an increasingly apparent number of it's 'workers' are being exposed as rapists, child molesters, thiefs, etc etc that believe themself to be 'self governing' and thus above the law becuase of their political sway and the massive resources they've amassed through *charity*?
yup. same people.

it's easy for the consumer to complain about a store being closed on sunday, but it's a really cool stand that a store takes when it chooses to close its doors to profits and more business so that it's employees can have a traditionally observed day off to spend with friends, family, and be on some similar pattern with mainstream society.
why do consumers complain about everything? perhaps you seem to be because you're not working a weekend job. working the weekends is not fun, and more than a lot of people have to do it, but not because they want to. they have to for various social, economic, educational reasons.

I don't know but I see the people who refuse to work on Sundays come in the stores and buy things on Sundays. Seems to me if they were adamant about that they would not be shopping, going to movies, or patronizing any business that is open on Sunday, at least on a Sunday.

Um, since I haven't heard of anybody being burned at the steak in over a hundred years, I would have to say no, not the same people.
The sabbath is a Christian observance as well as a Jewish observance, which understandable since there roots are the same. Wh don't your try knowing what your talking about , it'll make you sound smarter.

I guess some fit a similar niche in society, if it is for religious purposes.
Some just want it as a day of rest that everyone is entitled to, ie no one should be coerced to work on a Sunday.

I'm pretty sure that all the people who burned people at the stake are dead now, so the people who want to bring back Sunday blue laws are probably not them.

Lol, yeah...although most of them consider themselves Christian!
Observing the Sabbath (not working sundays) is a Jewish law anyway, so why do some so called Christians want to do it?
