a guy who i have been 'friends' with for over a year tells me that he needs a break after i recently told him that i loved him, however before that he did tell me that his feelings are stronger for me then any other woman (including his ex that they had kids). then just like that he cuts all ties with me.i kept trying to ring him because i needed to know and finally we speak and he tells me that he felt suffociated and that i was being too clingy, however i was only being like that because he cut all ties with me. anyway a month has passed and i respected him for being honest with me and then when i did call him he was wondering why i never called him before and i tell him it's because i wanted to give him space.i just don't understand him as he wanted space and i gave it and now he is wondering why i never called?.he wasn't angry about it just curious i think or maybe i'm wrong?anyone had this experience?? your advice or thoughts greatly appreciated.

It probably means that you were smothering him constantly before. He just want to be able to breathe sometimes without you. Why is that so hard to figure out?

Why he himself didnt call?You didnt call because he said he neede a break .But that didnt mean you werent suppose to call or text him.
He is mad he supposed to call you and tell you the rules to follow when you are in the break.luckily you still communicate and I think between one of you there is someone who dont know what he/she wants in life.What was the break for?did you ask and figured that out.why you accepted the breakup?Because you wanted to make him happy?and what about your feelings dont you have them?Where do you want to be in next 10yrs to come.fighting for a man?Is that what you need?If it that what you need go for him,wait for hime and fight for him.
Remember he got kids and no parent in this world want to be apart from his/her kids.He can still attain his relationship with his ex because of kids. what you need to do is to get some you love and also loves you.someone with a positive attitude towards life as a whole.
Dont waste your time in him he is not interested 100% maybe he is 75%.But you deserve the best.Go out and search for your dream date,he is there and waiting for you.

He is immature and playing a game. You probably called him when he was bored and nobody else to play with. Find someone who is a bit more grown up.

The tosser is a player... Tell him to fu*k off you don't need him in your life. Give him as much space as he need. just make sure he will have enough not to see him around you. Good luck!
