No, but the Scientific Method condemns today's "consensus scientists" to the Laughing Stocks of history.

No, I don't believe so. Many of history's greatest thinkers have had profound religious beliefs.

Much of their work was done in an attempt to discover the heart of meaning of life, and to see the face of their god.

Anything done with sincerity and without seeking to condemn or injure others must surely be respected and valued as the product of our flawed but marvellous species?

Cheers :-)

No. Even though they seem to appreciate the benefits of science, such as modern medicine, electricity, cars, and computers, religionists can still rationalize in their minds that science is evil and wrong, and that the tooth fairy is the only real truth.

Science doesn't address the fate of religious leaders. Good question, though. Shows that you're thinking.

Unfortunately, it hasn't worked yet. I remember when the scandal of priests raping kids first came out. One woman whose son had been raped by their priest went back to the same church "for comfort." It seems that a certain percentage of humans will always have a slave mentality, regardless of how much information is available.

Pfffft...
Why do people continue to try to make war between science and God?
God has nothing whatsoever against science. And science has nothing whatsoever against God.
Science can never discover anything that God doesn't already know.
After all, God invented science.
