God is the most prolific murderer. He killed nearly every living mammal on the planet Earth in a great flood. This is quite significant. Just because he wanted to punish humans, he also ended up killing baby kittens and cute bunny rabbits. It sounds preposterous, but that is what the bible says.
God even killed Lot's wife for looking back.

Yeah, people do open the bible. That's where it comes from - the bible. In the Old Testament God is at war with the human race. Do you really think that a merciful, loving god would have created Noah's flood? Or killed the firstborn of Egypt?

I don't know, have you opened a newspaper? Or read the Old testament. I know Jesus talks about Hell alot, sure, but the OT is all about smiting, about wiping out humans with plagues, floods, and pure divine wrath.

Seems like those are the only parts of the Bible that interests them. They must like to "pick & choose" which parts of the bible interest them. (Ironically isn't it, when they accuse us of that.) Then they don't have to acknowledge Jesus and his sacrifice for our sins, and the grace of God.

God is the Creator of entire Universe and all in it. He has blessed the mankind with innumerable bounties and He has asked the mankind to seek benefits therefrom. However if there is any turbulence it is the making of mankind itself. God is ever forgiving, benevolent and kind. The actions of mankind when they depart from the rules of behavior laid by God through His Prophets result in mess, chaos and sorrows. It is impossible not to think of God during the course of life when thinking is rational.
