I have noticed many are using their own words, or providing those asking the question with a website that they can turn to for all the answers.
"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and (be ready always to give an answer) to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear" 1 Peter 3:15

The be conscious god scares in basic terms people who have self assurance. it is not semantics. you assert there is in basic terms one divine source and impressive away it is not any longer semantics. The Divine source of the Hindus isn't the comparable Divine source for the Abrahamic religions. Religions have and conceive diverse supplies so once you're taking all of it the way down to to easily one and the comparable, that frequently ability the Abrahamic source. yet it is a hateful and vengeful god. and various of people, fantastically, interior the philiosphy section, are searching for extra "logical" motives that attributing some thing to a divine source. on a similar time as giving a divine source does shouldn't right now earn a thumbs down, i think of those come from people who get thumbs down from Christians in the event that they provide a non-theological answer. i'm Buddhist, and if I supply a Buddhist answer, i'm getting thumbs downs for all time. in a lot of my solutions i understand i visit get various of thumbs down-in basic terms attempting giving a Buddhist point of view interior the armed forces section. I in basic terms think of of them as signs and indicators i'm on the wonderful tract.

Humm??..that depends upon what the seeker is trying to learn? The Word of God should always be used IF that is what the person asking, is searching to learn. However IF it is just an "opinion" that the person is seeking, then I would say that can be a great answer too!! Especially IF that "particular" answer "inspires" the reader to seach the Word on their own!
For in one "sense", WE are the "reflected" Word as He dwells in our hearts!
Joh 4:39 - Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman's testimony, "He told me everything I ever did."
1Co 2:1 - When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.
2Th 1:10 - on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.
**A "testimony" can be the personal experience that God Himself has given to you as you seek Him.

Yes, it's always good to practice what you preach but sometimes folks understand ideas and statements better in out words easier than Gods words. When I read one of those newer Bibles with modern translations i am doing the same thing. I know that God will help me get to the truth.

Good point, Don. However, I think it depends on who is asking what. For example, if a sceptic is just having a go at Christians then s/he might not be open to quotations from the Bible. "Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under your feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces" (Matthew 7:6).

On the other hand, serious questions about theology or a question from an asker who is genuinely searching for God and the truth, demands scriptural proof. Thanks for the reminder!

The Word of God is perfect. When we are using our own words, we can unintentionally distort the truth and the Word of God has more authority. We must also to check context in which anything was said.

I agree. A passage from the Bible can cut in to the bare bone of a matter where our own words fail us. I can understand why web links are used since the readers are more likely to click on a link then they are likely to open a Bible.

It is all about faith. I believe God I believe the Word of God. God gave direction to follow him in spirit and truth in the Bible. There is no other way. The lack of the Word of God is the lack of faith in God.

Matthew 4:4
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Romans 10:17
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

I never worry about offending by the Word of God. This is Religion and Spirituality- this is what the word of God is to me.

2 Timothy 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

We must understand that the Bible carries weight only for those that believe.
If through an answer I give I can cause an atheist to question his beliefs or lack there of then I have opened the door for the Holy Spirit to do it's job.
