[[I am a 14 year old girl]] Well I have had my boyfriend for 3 months now and we havent kissed yet. He is coming over to my house so my dad can meet him. But I live by a lake, so we are going to walk to this one place on the other side of the lake thats by the drainage hole. Theres no houses there or anything theres just a hill and the lake. And it doesnt smell or anything. I know we are gonna have fun like goofing around and stuff. But also we both want to kiss, and im pretty sure we will end up kissing there. Probably not with tounge, but open mouthed kissing. But I am a bit worried because I have braces. Is there any way that he could get hurt from my braces? And is there any special way to kiss with braces or do you jut kiss normally but a little bit softer/more gentle? Please help me!!! Thank you.

I got braces about six months ago and it was a little awkward for me kissing my boyfriend at first. ( we had kissed previously many times before the braces).

Seeing as the two of you have never kissed each other it will just take some getting used to how each other kisses. Your braces shouldn't have much affect. Though if you have an all out make out session your braces ma irritate the inside of your mouth.

Don't stress. Relaxing and taking it slow is the best idea.

Its okay to kiss your boyfriend with braces, its not going to hurt him(I promise), I am 14 to, I have dated a guy that had braces and we just kiss like anybody would, I mean we kissed softer and more gentle, so I think you should do the same, just be be safe.

Don't worry about it. It's just a myth. I have braces right now and I've been kissing my boyfriend and nothing's happened. He has braces too, so you know you'll be fine!

Don't worry, you can kiss normally. I had braces a few years ago and it was never a problem.

lol don't worry about it. I have had braces for awhile and don't have a problem. Look at it this way, the braces are on your teeth? do you think his tongue will be rubbing or scraping around on your teeth? you'll be fine!

It won't hurt.
And a peck on the lips won't do anything if you want to try that first.
Even tongue would be ok because they have braces on so tight he couldn't get his tongue in there even if he tried.
