I have just won an interview for a Night Shift manager vacancy for Tesco In The North Of England, what is the interview like, any awkward questions, tests. Any advice will be appreciated.

Research the company, find out as much as possible about them, how many employees, which charities they support etc. Take a notepad with questions you'd like to ask and a pen for writing down important info. This shows you're organised. Good luck with the interview and I hope this helps.

Tips:

Don't ask about where the food comes from.

Don't ask what they think of consumer-led boycotts of ethically dubious state producers (former South Africa, Israel etc).

Don't ask about commercial meat farming practices, or how chickens can be so cheap.

Don't ask about the international flower trade.

Don't ask about the distance food has travelled in order to make it to the supermarket, and the pollutants given off during the transportation.

Don't ask how farmers are supposed to live, when they are the ones who have to pay for the "buy one, get one free" deal, not the company.

Don't ask how many small, family owned businesses have shut down in the local area since Tesco opened their doors.

Don't ask about the recognition of trade unions, workers rights or management policy toward collective action.

Do accept whatever they tell you.

Do bend over.

Loyalty is all that is important to them in their staff. Be loyal and don't ask questions, and you'll be rewarded with riches beyond your wildest imaginings.

You need to show you have excellent organisational and people skills. Be incredibly hard working, able to meet deadlines and ridiculously flexible. You just have to kiss as hugely. They will want your soul.
Make sure you ask about advancement prospects - you don't want to get the job and find you have no chance of promotion for the next decade. It also shows you are keen to be with them for ever, even if you have no intention of doing so. Ask about in house training.

i had one for tesco
he just asked me stuff about education, what my goal in life is etc..
tip: research the company, get some questions ready to ask, dress smart
the one thing that let me down was the fact i wasnt dressed smart enough. it hurt cos the reason i was going for the job was cos i was poor and obviously didnt have money to buy smart clothes
so yeah, scrub up before you go and good luck!
