Who thinks gibbs and rousch are equal to hendricks. Rousch has two drivers guarnateed in the chase and so those gibbs.Hendricks has one

They are gaining on Hendrick. However, Hendrick will end up with three cars in the chase while Roush and Gibbs will only have two. There is not much chance of a Hendrick car falling out.

Your math is fuzzy as of right now only the top 5 drivers are guaranteed to be in the chase. The other 7 could in theory actually drop out of the chase.
