If you made a phone call, while your ears were plugged or otherwise unable to hear the person on the other end, is it that they are not responding to you, or that you simply can't hear it?
how long do you really expect them to keep trying to talk to you when you obviously can't hear them, despite their repeated futile attempts to get the message to you, due to the perceptive failing being on your end.
do you recognize that the failing could merely be that your ears are plugged and you don't even realize it? (this is metaphorical, for those of you who don't notice that right off)

Yes metaphorical -
I notice on here people tend to act this way: When a question is submitted they go off on their own thoughts and do not answer the question. Is it because they do not listen, or is it because the asker is not listening to them?
You know when my ears get plugged I do not notice until they unplug, then everything sounds much clearer.

They are telling us, I have references on my profile, that the stress today is so great and the overwhelming amount of useless information and bad news in the information age, is causing people to go into escapism and otherwise unconscious. That stress explains school shootings and the general mayhem and madness in the whole world. People have become over emotional, upset or don't have the patience to listen before jumping to negative conclusions that fits their mood. Of course some are immune to the whole thing. We are told that this is the greatest culture clash of all history. with so many different customs and traditions all thrown together at an ever increasing rate, and the pace is only picking up. A person can only go basically two ways. We can't fight or flight so we escape mentally and emotionally into a lower consciousness or a higher one. The higher one can handle whatever the future holds. The lower consciousness, unfortunately, only goes lower until it explodes. One person put it this way, "The entire world is totally and completely insane, each an every one of us." Except you and me, of course. So what was the question, I have so much to read you know? Oh. Yes, we could all come together, if we just listened, really listened to one another. Not to the media, but one on one.

This reminds me of the story in the Bible where the Sower sows his seeds. The Sower sows some seeds in a stony place. The seed did not take root because of the condition of the ground.
Similarly, many people hear the word of God but because of the hardness of their heart, the word of God never takes root in that person's heart.
Only God can soften the hard hearts of men and women. Pray that this happens before they come to their end.

That's stupid. If your god can do anything, then plugging my ears would be futile.
