Not that I'm suggesting faith based arguments are strong, quite the opposite.

Having been born again and living by faith for over 20 years, i have absolutely no doubt that God not only exists, but that He acts in accordance with His word, as we trust and obey. Besides things which I happen weekly which defy coincidence, i could provide multiple examples which demonstrate a consistent correspondence btwn obedience to God and the realization of that (usually materially or events) which was prayed for and promised by God.

On a most personal level, and as relates to the "argument from miracles," the existence of Christ is abundantly demonstrated empirically by cause and effect, in which those who, with a broken heart and contrite spirit (Ps. 34:18) turn in their hearts to Christ from sin, and cast all their faith in Him who died for their sins and rose again to save them, realize heart and life effects that correspond to the claims of Object of their faith, and are contingent upon obedience Him. I would challenge those who dispute this to do their own research. Go to a growing evangelical, fundamental type church (maybe like a Calvary Chapel), and ask the Pastor for a list of true believers you can interview. Find out what their hearts and lives were like before and after their conversion, and the manner in which it came about. Then interview those who know them in their "B.C" days and after. and what you will find is effects that overall cannot simply be attributed to naturalistic causes, etc. but are a result of trusting and obeying God.

True Christians do not beleive in blind faith, but as in marraige, we take strtpes of faith based upon some evidence God has provided, and then our fait is strengthen, though sometimes much tested, as God rewards such faith. And in so doing our faith is strengthen in His word, the Bible, being as it promises, " a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path" (Psa 119:105).

Here are a few stories of specific miracles: http://www.cbn.com/700club/features/amazing/

And though you may dispute it, atheists also have faith, that of a dogmatic belief that declares there is no God, which is a belief, not something they can in any way actually prove.

And rather than a transcendent immutable moral authority, all atheism can really offer as is a objectively baseless morality, one that does what seems "reasonable" to them, and which is the very atheistic foundation fellow atheists Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot operated out in murdering their millions. Though you may vehemently object to atheism being made the cause behind such effects (even while insisting pagan Hitler was a Christian), this is indeed where the "reasonable" ever-morphing objectively baseless morality of atheism can and often does go .

And rather than Dawkins universe "which has no design, no purpose, no evil and no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference" we have a God who demonstrates His reality and care - as well as justice - in our lives daily.

And the greatest act of love on our behalf was in God not sparing His own perfectly righteous Son, but delivering Him up for us all (Rm. 8:32), as Jesus loved us and gave Himself for us (Gal. 2:20), allowing Himself to be murdered in paying for our sins, and then rising again as our present Savior and future judge. And which resurrection power you can know by faith and surrender to Him.

(Rom 10:9) "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

(Acts 3:19) "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;"

Praise the Lord!

I'm not sure which argument objectively qualifies. But subjectively, the argument from consciousness, weighs most. Before my conversion I was an extreme skeptic. Starting from a universe made up of matter/energy and nothing else I just couldn't make the leap to conscious awareness being reliable. Kant's Critique had pretty much rendered reason incapable of grasping reality as it is. Science to me was just a complex game of trial and error with no ontologically fixed basis or conclusions. What we call knowledge was to me just convention. I admit I was naive. The weak anthropic principle tells me that our very existence proves we do have access to the real world-- knowledge if you will. But I hadn't considered it then. Inanimate matter becoming self-aware? And, really, everything else we are and do hangs from that. If it happened by purely physical processes, nobody has a clue what the mechanism might be. But that doesn't trouble me. I don't like God of the gaps arguments. Rather, I just don't believe in luck. And let's face it, possessing consciousness is the equivalent of winning the universal lottery. That kind of coincidence trips my B.S.ometer. I'd never buy it anywhere else in my life. Why should I buy it here? not a very astute philosophical argument. But I still find it compelling.

I can not give you a strong argument for God's existence as I'm not a theist , but i can give you a strong argument as to why the only alternative, evolution, can not be true by any account. If you would like it. Feel free to contact me, but here's a over view:
- the probability of a DNA strand, that can self replicate, being formed by chance, is a chance 1/x where x is larger then the number of electrons in the known universe
- the current decay rate of the earths magnetic field would have the field at the strength of that of a neutron star if taken back even 10,000 years
- if you were to go back 10,00 years, then the moon would be close enough to the earth to cause tides that would be large enough to kill off all living things on all continents
- i can show how the events stated in the bible, can in fact be verified by observations made today
Fell free to contact me for more details, but there's some things to think about.

Well, Probably not, No, but maybe God can, you just have to ask Him and give Him a chance!

Romans 10:17 says that "faith comes by hearing the word of God." You don't read it , you probably won't know very much about it. How are you going to know anything about the stock market if you don't look at the financial report.

In the same manner, people who know nothing about God or what He wants or where He's going are "WILLINGLY IGNORANT": (They choose not to know.)

In Hebrews chapter 11, it says that "But WITHOUT FAITH, it is impossible to please Him, for He that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him."

There are certainly, physical proofs, that can be performed. Many! But it is very time-consuming. Better you just ask Him to reveal Himself to you, and in such a way that even YOU will get it. That's what I did, and He made it clear to even a dyed-in-the-wool, dummy atheist, like me.

He even says to you, "Prove Me, now, this day!" (I believe you'll find it in Isaiah, but there's a good on line interactive concordance where you can look up every word in the Bible..in fifty languages)

It doesn't so much take faith as it takes GUTS!

Hope this answers your question, but it's really only you who can answer it. 'Cause when you allow Him to prove His existence to you, you'll get FAITH in the bargain.

I know for sure that god exists on a personal level with each person, everybody's got a feeling or theory about it. It's funny how nobody acknowledges the fact that nobody really knows, and debating it is pointless. People can pretened to know, and they can believe they know, and they can know or be enlightened if they try hard enough. and even then, if there was one person in the world that knew the entire truth about god, it wouldn't matter because nobody would care to listen to them or believe them, because there's nothing a person can say that another person can't argue back with their own beliefs about god. We'll probably all find out when we die, or remember, and then we can all laugh at how far we all ended up being from the truth.

I am not a theist, but I have a strong personal argument that has me convinced.

Several years ago I had an unusual experience concerning an uncle, a distant relative who lived over a thousand miles away.

While driving my car I suddenly felt the unmistakable presence of this relative that I hardly even knew. He was more like someone I had heard about than someone I knew. It was very strange; it felt as though I was momentarily lifted right out of my physical body. I seemed to be suspended somehow beyond space and time, bathed in a love so intense It felt like I could have just disappear into it at any moment if It would have let me. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seemed to last forever at the same time. I realize how crazy this must sound. The experience was so strong that at first I was afraid I was loosing my grip on reality. I finally managed to chalk it up to an over active imagination.

Three days later I got a call from my aunt telling me that this uncle we are talking about had gone into a coma and died the day I had the experience. It felt like ice water had been poured down my back when she told me this. I had lost any real ideas of God or faith and had become somewhat of an atheist. Needless to say this experience caused me to rethink some of the conclusions I had come to.

I feel blessed to now understand that even in our darkest confusion something loves us so much that it went out of its way to assist me and bring me back to a state of absolute certainty about Gods love for us.
During the experience it seemed like there was a vast amount of information that I was somehow allowed access to. One thing that I came away from this experience understanding beyond any shadow of a doubt was that any Idea that God is unhappy with us or would judge or allow us to be punished for any reason is simply impossible.

I can’t explain the love I felt with words. They simply don’t make words big enough or complete enough to do this. The only way I can begin to convey this love to you is to say that there was simply nothing else there. Nothing but love. No hint of judgment, no displeasure of any sort. It is as though God sees us as being as perfect as we were the day we were created. It is only in our confused idea of ourselves that we seem to have changed.

I hope this is of some help to you. Good luck. Love and blessings.

The existence of life

Yes, the second law of thermodynamics or the law of entropy. Organized systems tend to move from a state of organization to a state of disorganization. Our universe is an organized system and there is plenty of evidence that it is moving to a state of disorganization. Since our universe is an organized system the question to ask is, who organized it?

No, I don't need to argue with anyone about the existence of God. He is. End of argument.

nature, the complexity of the human being, stars and galaxies....None of which can be explained in full by science (in such a vastly "advanced" human state why have we still not found the cure for the common cold?)

basically try and open your eyes and you will see it all around you (there is a difference between hearing and listening and also a difference between wisdom and knowledge)
