That's great news, don't breed your dogs, and you need to spay them. Go to a shelter, see the suffering, figure this out. The World does not need more dogs. All of the dogs in rescues were considered charming pregnancies and cute puppies and went off to their new homes. Later they got dumped or lost - and wound up suffering or dead. Please restrain the urge to create more cute dalmations, think five years down the road for the sake of puppies. You have no idea what the adopters will do with them when they move or have kids or dislike the upkeep of a dalmation. I really beg you to think about it very rationally and carefully.

Why are you trying to breed them? Do you show them in AKC events? Have you done any extensive health testing before breeding them? Are the Health tests OFA certified? Do you belong to any AKC affiliateted Dalmation Clubs? Do you have forever homes lined up for every single puppy that could be born? Are you willing to keep every puppy that you cannot place in a good loving home? Are you responsible for the puppys you bring into the world for each puppy's entire life?

This question is one that an experinced breeder that cares about the breed should not have to ask.

Back Yard Breeders are a blight on our society.

A healthy male can be fertile his entire life just as a man can. As he ages he has less sperm and motility. AKC has a cut off age limit for registering a litter, so if you want to register the litter better check. A vet can examine his sperm too. Sometimes infertility is nature's way of saying not a good idea because of problems with one of the parents.

One of the causes of infertility in the dog is brucellosis - where either tested? if your girl is infertile due to Brucellosis he amy have it too and be just as infertile...
for that matter did you get a vet check (ya know there are even canine fertility specilists) to see WHICH is infertile or are you just going by the fact that you don't have pups?
