It's a very short hop out of Chicago, it's nearly commuter service. Expect short trains running on pretty much on time, and modest food service (7-11 style microwave dogs and pizzas).

The other poster is referring to trains that go much farther than yours. They're more vulnerable to running very late, because they have longer runs, more chances of things going wrong, and delays stack up. On a 54 hour train, a lot can go wrong. Milwaukee is a 2 hour train. The freight RR's are totally overloaded right now on most lines, so the freights are logjammed right along with Amtrak.
