Or was he/she/it really there in the first place? Is god and most other 'entities' a figment of people's imaginations to comfort them in some way, or do people just like to follow like sheep and believe whatever they are told.

You too are one of the sheep, you follow as well, what is wrong in someone finding comfort from their faith? Live and let live. God is still in the building, just need the eyes of faith to know it.

Agnosticism faces the ultimate stark truth that we do not know if there is a god or not. But I prefer Atheism, because it sweeps aside all of the theology-dominated thinking of human history, and starts from first principles:The notion of a god or gods is illogical, and silly.

We created him and those who bravely face the world of truth are glad that we made him leave, then there are those who would blow up the building to keep him alive and those who would rather see the rest of us die in hell than realise their god has left the building.

Hi angelsrus. You seem to be asking for someone to prove to you that God exsits, no one can do that. No one can give you faith. The terrible truth is God does not plan to save everyone on the planet on Judgment day. Even reading and explaining the Gospel to an unsaved person will do no good. God teaches us in Matthew 13:13:

“Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.”

God tells us that He does not intend to save everyone in the world. In Acts 28:27 He tells us:

“ For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.”

God gives us the Faith to believe. It is not any thing we do or can do. It is He who draws us near to Him. God explains this in John 6:44:

“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

I am not sure if you are saved, only God knows that. Perhaps one day in your life He will draw you to Him. All we can do as Christians is spread the Gospel to you. The rest is up to God. God is merciful and does not delight in sending a sinner to Hell. Cry out to him. Try praying the sinners prayer, “Lord have mercy on me, for I am a sinner.”

it's rather sheeplike to assert and reassert that people are akin to sheep. the infinite, endless baaaing of the human race. no one is excluded from acountability for their own life. it's dangerous to assume anything

It's really a personal preference thing. All this "What I say is right" crap is where the conflict comes from. Nobody knows till they're dead so why argue about it?

Did god make the building, or did something else make it and he just came in and take over?
