Haha, I like how it says that a vaccination is a trick. Their collective ignorance is astounding. Check out this video of Chuck Missler. He says that a jar of penut butter is proof that evolution is false:

I guess he doesn't know about the genetic modifications that an old monk made on peanut plants. An old guy named Gregor Mendel.

wow.. ur ignorance astonishes me.. am i the only smart one here tht actually read the wikiepdia article ur using to ask this question??
have YOU even read it??
this is a historical article.. first of all.. back then people thought of smallpox as a form of punsihment from God, therefore, they saw vacinacion as a way of cheating death, and by cheating death, cheating God.
this itself was a wrong belief, death does not come from God's desires, we were not formed by him to die, but it is the consequence of sin.
I'll quote the EXACT same article u used to prove my point here..it says they thought "that others should eschew immunization and accept the smallpox that God sent"
if u know anything about religious history you know what was going on around these dates and you kno that people had and extremist concept of God.
its sad to see some people still think of him this way.
plus, i agree with bugboy.. if God needed you to die. why give u small pox and wait for it to kill u? why give scientist knowledge to cure this? God IS more powerful than vaccination. it was stupid for people back then to believe that.
theres sooo much more i could use here to prove my point but i believe i've said enough for now.
o and that whole imaginary friend thing... i think more than one would agree with me that it takes waaay more to actually believe earth formed by accident and we come from monkeys than to simply believe in God.
seriously.. im suprised people actually enjoy thinking we come from some lice eating primates.
vaccination a sin?? HA! yea right..

If God's plan for someone is to die of, say, smallpox, it does not make vaccination a sin. This is because vaccination is no guarantee for recovery for someone who is destined to die of smallpox. God is more powerful than vaccination. Similarly, not all patients who underwent brain operations recover after surgery, right? Obviously surgeons did not commit sins by performing surgery.

If God made that plan known to you and you went to get a vaccination trying to avoid it then it would be a sin and would also be pointless. If God tells you that you are going to die of smallpox you should kiss your family goodbye and go straight to quarrantine.

No matter what happens to you, good or bad, Christians will always regard it as 'God's will'.
Die of smallpox - God's will
Get stabbed to death in a dark alley - God's will
Stub your toe on the bed - God's will

Disagree. Human being will always try to do their best while god will have the final say. Just like in an examination. The student will strive hard to answer the right questions, but examiner will determine the right answers.

Wikpedia's not a valid source. Can't use that as proven facts .
Bottom line, God gave men the knowledge to come up with the smallpox vaccine, so NO, it's not a sin.

God does not merely make up regulations and do something He pleases. he's holy and sturdy, and the regulations for what's and is not sturdy ought to on no account have been otherwise. God instructed the early people that their purely happiness lies in Him, and the different decision could lead on them to demise and misery. that is not something God could have made otherwise if He felt like it- that is purely an effortless description of the character of actuality. . . variety of like telling somebody that in the event that they bounce off a tall construction they are going to die. yet, they chosen to bypass their very very own way and do their very very own element besides, and, merely as He instructed them, they suffered the outcomes for that. God does not be righteous or holy if he merely ignored that sin and enable them to do something they overjoyed. The penalty for sin is demise, and if God is to be merely, then that debt could desire to be paid, finally. yet God, being the loving author that he's, wasn't prepared to enable that be the tip of it. He grew to become into prepared to pay that value Himself, so as that we could be stored from hell. because of the fact if we don't pay the cost, then somebody extremely could desire to do it in our place. Jesus ought to try this for us because of the fact He on no account sinned, and consequently he did not owe a sin debt in any respect. that is variety of like in case you commit a criminal offense and get thrown in detention center. the different prisoners at the instant are not likely to have the potential that could be useful you placed up bail. purely somebody who hasn't commited a criminal offense and is consequently not in detention center himself could have the potential to come lower back bail you out. So our sin-debt grew to become into paid by employing Jesus' demise, and thanks to that, we are in a position to be appropriate with God lower back. The righteousness of God is happy, and His love for us is proved on the comparable time.

no it isn't.
God lets us make discoveries to cure things.
if he wants u to die then at the second he wants it, it will happen.
have faith that he knows what he is doing.
in my mind i question wars and children dieing of cancer and stuff like that but i know he has a plan and that is that.
if u believe then believe, if u don't then don't.
i don't bag atheists for there non belief so i don't expect atheists to bag religion.
we all make choices and that's our choice.
u drive a Nissan i drive a ford same thing we don't pick on each other for car choice so why pick on others religion

Hi weemaryanne, again. God gave us physicians, so it is not sinful to see a doctor when we are not physically well. And if that doctor gives you a prescription for an aliment or a vaccination for small pox, that is not sinful either. In Isaiah 38:21 Isaiah instructs Hezekiah to make a poultice of figs to heal a boil:
"Now Isaiah had said, “Let them take a lump of figs, and apply it as a poultice on the boil, and he shall recover.”
In 1 Timothy 5:21 God tells us:
"No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your frequent infirmities."
All healing comes from God, but the healing God speaks of in the Bible is a spiritual healing of our sins. In Matthew 9:12-13 God tells us:
"... “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
