I can't find any direct routes from glasgow to gerona, but I see that Ryanair flies from Glasgow Prestwick to Pisa which has close links to Florence and then Gerona:
10th September 2007
Departure Airport: Glasgow Prestwick (PIK)
Arrival Airport: Pisa (PSA)
Departure Time: 09:00
Arrival Time: 12:45
Price: £64.99 (excluding tax)
Carrier: Ryanair
Website: http://ryanair.com
Best regards,
Alan.
P.S. Even though you said Gerona, and I presume you meant Italy, incase you meant Girona (Barcelona) there is the following available flight direct to Girona (Barcelona)
10th September 2007
Departure Airport: Glasgow Prestwick (PIK)
Arrival Airport: Girona Barcelona (GRO)
Departure Time: 14:00
Arrival Time: 17:35
Price: £89.99
Carrier: Ryanair
Website: http://ryanair.com

Cos i work for a travel agent (obvious which one below) but I found that Thomsonfly go from Glasgow to Gerona every Tuesday and return on the Tuesday.
Normally the flight times are:
Glasgow 07.55 (depart)
Gerona 11.35 (arrive)
Gerona 12.35 (depart)
Glasgow 14.15 (arrive)
So that means that the date you want Thomsonfly dont fly on but it is on the 11th Sept they do.
A one-way ticket costs £199.64
Hope that helps.

I found this flight at 2 p.m. on ryanair for 89 pounds
If the link doesn't go straight to the flight,
look up ryanair.com
Gerona is listed under Barcelona (Girona)
Note: The answer above me is sending you to Italy, so if you want to go to Genova, Italy, he's right.
But if you want Gerona/Girona (same place in Spanish/Catalan) he's wrong.

Barcelona is now among the first tourist location of Spain since it understands how exactly to please the large majority : with a history one of the oldest in Europe, a town that never rests and an inland filled with attraction, unique lovely beaches in La Costa Brava and you can see all this in the event that you take a look with hotelbye first. The variety of artistic treasures, the Romanesque churches and the great names in modern artwork and architecture like: Dali, Gaudi, Miro and Picasso provide Barcelona an area in the list of towns you need to see.
