do you watch the news, and did you see the video taken inside a US pilots f16, he saw some people running throught the town or village where they were (in iraq) (they looked like civilians running from the violence) he called his superior and said he cant tell who they are, should he take them out, his superior instantly said take them out, and within 30 seconds of spotting them he had dropped a bomb on 15-20 people, he had no idea if they were civilians or not ( they looked like civilians running away), and afterwards, he said.............oh dude,
i feel physically sick

Think I know exactly the video you are talking about and the 'civilians' are running out of the building originally targetted by the aircraft. Assuming the aircraft was doing something useful like killing combatants and not just blowing up random iraqi houses then what exactly is the problem?
Of course its unsettling to watch footage of people being killed but thats what happens in war.

Bit of an update, knew i had seen it recently a mate had it on his mobile phone, if anyone wants to see it contact me and i'll send it on to you.

Either you made this up, or the video was made up. If the I.D. of the enemy is uncertain, it is not acted upon. I watch the news all the time, and listen to the news that talks about the TV news, and I never saw or heard anything like this. Oh yeah, remember; "Blame America First."

Actually, I did see something like this a few years ago and cannot find it. I am against the war, by the way. That said, I see it as just propaganda. Yes, there have been atrocities, but there has also been accountability of those that have done wrong, and there have been some things that I saw while in Iraq that were not atrocities, bu were prosecuted any way.

Unless you are sitting over there facing what looks like a civilian and trying to decide in a few seconds are they gonna kill me (after watching your friends die when they send innocent looking kids with bombs to kill you and them), you cannot judge.

Join up, face the same decision, live through it, then come here and tell us all about it.

Of-course they looked like civilians. Thats what insurgents look like. Thats how they hide, by looking like civilians. More then likely, there was a UAV watching them also that the commander was looking at, so those runners were more then likely observed the entire time if the decesion was made that fast. If it was that fast, then they had identification. If you only see the cockpit camera, then you only see 1 part of the entire story. There is always more then literally one persons view.

From the sounds of it, this was staged. Having spent time over in Iraq, I can tell you from personal experience that things like this do not happen.

Sorry, missed that one. But it does not surprise me! Just like Vietnam, then the government doesn't think the war was going the way they want it, they just do what they want! Example: Vietnam. Didn't look like the objectives were getting accomplished, so the government wanted "huge" body counts.
Military or civilians, that can be checked out later. Huge body counts equalled the justification they (government), need to show the American people, "we're winning this war!" "Look at the large body count we have today!" Yes, history is repeating itself, and to the younger generation, they don't see it because they weren't there the first time.
