Do all airlines own their own anti-freeze equipment or do they get contractors to do it? Or borrow other airlines equipment?

Airplane deicing is conducted as a service by each airport, and the cost is charged to each individual airline just as it is for baggage handling, refueling etc.

Most airlines will have their own deice equipment and personnel at their main bases. At some outstations they will contract with the airport or FBO to provide this service. At our airline, the majority of our deicing is done by our own personnel.
