i saw someone ask; can a christian be evil? and a lot of people posted no, as long as they are true christians.
is a true christian one that believes in the bible literally?
thus homosexuals should be stoned...
or is a true christian one that cherry picks the bible because their sense of morality is above the teachings of god and jesus?
do you just need faith and follow the 10 commandments? so slavery, bigotry, and deception are all ok?
or does your answer reflect how you see yourself?
is there something i missed? im very confused.

A true Christian is a person that has been born again of the Holy Spirit. That excludes a lot of peole who are Christian in name only. Jesus Himself said there would be many of these people.
The Old Testament Law on stonings (and others) has been replaced by a New Covenant as described in the New Testament. God still hates homosexual lifestyles but Christians don't stone them.
Cherry pick the Bible? What else can we do - reproduce the whole Bible here for you. I will GIVE you a Bible if you ask me for one. Read it and be saved.
Slavery, bigotry and deception are not Christian traits. But no Christian is perfect. We are all just forgiven.

to be a true christian is to love one another as u love urself and treat ppl equally. that wat the bible teaches. homosexuals should not b stoned nor should single mothers. these traditions no longer exist for a reason. the church changes wit the times. after all the church is made up of humans so mistakes r made. just love..that one word...love one another
