OK I found this quote - but aren't hatred and love totally opposite? Isn't it impossible to hate the one you truly love? This is just obsession talking, isn't it? Your thoughts kind sirs and madams would be most appreciated.

you can love someone whom you hate. If the person you love left you...you hate them but love them at the same time. It may be the thought of what they did that you may hate or perhaps it's all the little things they did that you love. The question is, is it the person who you love/hate or the thought of them that causes you to love/hate

Not exactly - love and hate are like yin and yang, intertwined parts of the same disc. You cannot really hate someone you don't know, or know something about. same with love. And to be truly passionate, love and hate are extremes on the same spectrum... deep emotive feelings.

The hate comes after the true love and complete betrayal by someone you thought was your soul mate.
