So if I take a picture of some friends and me, and print out the picture as the same size as a standard postcard, could I just put a stamp or two on the back of it and mail it to somebody?

Or would it be better to just take the picture and mail it in a normal envelope?

If you have a WalMart near buy, you can go to their website, upload the photo and can order it as a postcard. That's a fail safe way, and you know it will make it through the mail and be sturdy. But now that I think about it, I have a picture when I was really little that my mom glued to a thicker piece of paper, and then sent it as a postcard, so I guess that would work too!

Yeah - just print it out as a 4 x 6 (or whatever size you want, really), and slap some thick paper on the back to make it less bendable, and throw a stamp in it; it used to be 22 cents to mail a postcard but I'm sure that's gone up recently. Good luck!

They do have thicker paper that you could print as post cards, but it will keep the picture nicer to put inside an envelope. They do get a little damaged and stamped on, etc. in the mails.

Use a good greeting card stock. No problem at all.
