If you like days at sea, then a transatlantic cruise is terrific. It is so relaxing or there is plenty to do on board the ship. They usually have terrific value also as normally pricing is very low for what you get.

We have done it previously and are booked on the Emerald Princess again Apr 08. This 16 nt cruise with 8 ports from Ft. Lauderdale to Barcelona Spain has balcony cabins at a little over $100 pp per day. We are paying less for the 16 nt cruise than people will pay for a 7 nt once ship is sailing the Med.

If one has the time and doesn't mind the long flight back (or to Europe) it is a great experience.

there are a number of "days at sea" on those.
that is your chance to enjoy the cruise ship and spa services or just relax on your balcony. there are really fun ports of call to look forward to also. I would look at cruisecritic.com, cruiseclues.com, and
cruiseaddicts.com.

I'll let you know when I come back from my first one. I'm leaving in Oct. on the Queen Mary 2 for England. I've quite excited about it and am looking forward to the crossing!
