how do you relax/get to sleep on the night before the first day of school!? any advice is REALLY appreciated! thanks!

Turn off going to school completely. Think about pleasant things completely unrelated to school. Think about your friends. Think about going out on the weekend. Think about your favorite subjects whatever they might be.

The night before i start school i usaually light a yummy smelling candle and let it burn in my room for a while because its proven that after the candle is put out the relaxing aroma it puts out is still in the air. Anyway, turn the radio on low volume to either a good talk show (i like John Tesh radio show) or soft jazz/ soothing music. Then make sure you have everything prepared for tomorrow and then get into bed and take a deep breath then slowly fall asleep. I hope this helps :)

yoga,or deep breathing exercises will relax you.take some deep breathes in thru your nose,hold for 5-6 seconds and let out slowly thru your mouth.
another way to relax is to tense up all your muscles for a count of 10 then release,do this a few times.hope this helps.

well, you need to reset your body clock, and you won't be falling asleep much longer,...when summer is here, an you are used to staying up late at night, you have to reset the alarm system....just keep getting up early and you will eventually stop falling asleep in class....have a nice cup of java for the first couple of days, to be sharp...and don't drink a lot of caffeine before you go to bed at night. good luck and make great grades!

It's natural to be nervous before the first days of school. Don't be nervous... Read the most boring books so that you can sleep...

What helps me is to take a tylenol PM......I always have a hard time falling a sleep because my head keeps thinking too much.....make sure you have time to sleep a little over 8 hours cos it'll make you drowsy if you don't....oh and you sound like me so take it after dinner and don't do much so it kicks in right

I have the same problem and nothing seems to help...just try not to think too much
I just always feel anxiety and restless it is horrible
